I enjoy working in the kitchen, preparing some meals, washing dishes or supporting others who need help with anything. When it comes to gardening, I enjoy all kinds of activities such as mowing lawns, pulling weeds, or watering plants, etc. With regards to pet care, I appreciate animals that are calm and easy to walk with, or feed, such as cats, Icelandic horses, fish, etc. I also enjoy getting opportunities to work with and support the elderly or children who need care. I have worked as a painting assistant for more than 5 years, and I enjoy painting walls, furniture, etc. I can help with organizing space and moving items as may need be, if places or certain spaces seem cluttered. I consider myself to be a decent photographer, and I have the ability to capture decent photos or videos. or special vibes of some places. Besides the English language, I can speak Arabic. I find that I thrive best when I can discover or work in newer environments. I also prefer to spend my time wisely, and productively where I am learning new skills, or improving the skills I already have.

I feel deeply … read more privileged to have known this beautiful family, their paradise farm, & eco-tourism retreat. They embody genuine collaboration, working in harmony to protect this Finca site.
Every tour I joined felt like a vibrant classroom where I truly enjoyed contributing to discussions & sometimes assisting with translations. I will forever cherish tending to the farm's gardens, sharing my cultural exchange project, & preparing homemade snacks for the family as a delicious way to learn Spanish ingredient names.
What makes Finca Paraíso Orgánico genuinely magical is its rich historical spirit. Discovering ancient, handcrafted stone items on the property that are still used to process cacao & sugar cane feels like reconnecting with a sacred native legacy. These heritage pieces are continuously brought back to life through the farm's devotion to preserving the history of their land.
It is far more than just a farm: it is a flourishing jungle, a spiritual haven of positive energy, & a peaceful eco-resort that invites everyone to embrace the Pura Vida lifestyle. I feel immensely blessed & grateful to have chosen this location, as this volunteer experience gave me a good impression of the rural culture of Costa Rica.

Considero a Huber un verdadero sobreviviente que superó una infancia difícil para convertirse en un agricultor extraordinario e inspirador. Huber es humilde, compasivo y hábil para resolver problemas prácticos; su compromiso con la agricultura orgánica—cosechando alimentos sin pesticidas tóxicos—es un modelo de vida sostenible que todo agricultor debería considerar.

Me siento profundamente privilegiado de haber conocido a esta hermosa familia, su finca paradisíaca y su centro de ecoturismo. Ellos encarnan una colaboración auténtica, trabajando en armonía para proteger este espacio.

Cada tour al que me uní se sintió como un aula vibrante donde disfruté mucho contribuyendo en las conversaciones y ayudando con las traducciones. Siempre atesoraré el haber cuidado los jardines de la finca, haber compartido mi proyecto de intercambio cultural y haber preparado meriendas caseras para la familia como una forma deliciosa de aprender los nombres de los ingredientes en español.

Lo que hace que Finca Paraíso Orgánico sea verdaderamente mágica es su rico espíritu histórico. Descubrir artefactos antiguos de piedra hechos a mano en la propiedad, que todavía se utilizan para procesar cacao y caña de azúcar, se siente como reconectarse con un legado indígena sagrado. Estas piezas de patrimonio cobran vida continuamente gracias a la dedicación de la finca por preservar la historia de su tierra.

Es mucho más que una simple finca: es una selva floreciente, un refugio espiritual de energía positiva y un tranquilo eco-resort que invita a todos a abrazar el estilo de vida Pura Vida. Me siento enormemente bendecido y agradecido de haber elegido este lugar, ya que esta experiencia de voluntariado me dejó una gran impresión de la cultura rural de Costa Rica.

Volunteering here near paradisical settings was a truly sacred gift. Sabine values community interaction & is an exceptionally passionate, & genuine person who is practical & yet provides a non-pressure, peaceful working environment. Taught to look after horses since childhood, she became an extremely skilled expert with high physical endurance, & … read more an ability to observe & deeply understand the internal psychological state of her animals. Her one-of-a-kind horse rescue & sustainable farm sanctuary brings hope, justice, & healing to abused or traumatized animals. Sabine’s project sets a brilliant example for others to learn from, & she truly deserves all global support to ensure this secluded countryside farm refuge remains affordable & protected from toxic urban expansion or influences.
During my stay, I was incredibly privileged to support her humanitarian & environmental missions. In fact, I always felt inspired to whole-heartedly contribute extra volunteer hours. I spent rewarding hours painting the off-grid farm structures/walls, handling extensive housework daily chores, & maintaining the gorgeous gardens by planting trees, potting, weeding, etc. Staying in the Perla Marina neighborhood—at a home with beautiful balcony views & a unique spacious atmosphere that seamlessly blends indoor urban living with nature—inspired me to cook daily delicious vegetarian meals or desserts, while sometimes using fresh garden ingredients. The amazing gatherings with her workers, neighbors, & other volunteers helped us form an unforgettable, culturally diverse community that I will always count on as part of my Dominican family.
Being surrounded by her 9 dogs allowed me to build & learn new skills, while remembering to try to remain calm while disciplining them. Yet, sadly my absolute favorite adorable dog, Gina, will be especially missed the most! Gaining invaluable experience walking, feeding, & training some of her farm horses was a lifetime experience that brought me a better sense of confidence & ease to be around horses. Taking peaceful walks to the nearby beach to watch the gorgeous Caribbean waves hit the shores provided me with an intense, beautiful spiritual connection to nature that will stay with me forever! I sincerely hope the plant life I left behind will be looked after well so it continues to thrive & prosper. I wish I had more time to offer more support, but hopefully will be able to contribute again in the future, as I cannot recommend this volunteer opportunity enough.

Thanks Omar for all the your help.
Having Omar with us was great, he was activly making a better place, he did a deep cleaning in kitchen and common áreas, a lot of gardening with soil and transplanting, he also shared his tastefull and cooking skills working extra hours since he was enjoying the labor.
