Hello Hosts,

I am a half Japanese and half Canadian, currently traveling and working in Japan!

A bit about my background—I’m a geological engineer-in-training and recently graduated from university in Vancouver, Canada. I decided to spend a year in Japan connecting with my relatives and immersing myself in the culture.

I’m a native English speaker and have no issues communicating in conversational Japanese. During my time here, I have worked in several Ryokans and an Izakaya. I take pride in being a fast learner, hard worker, and always having a positive attitude. I’m also very friendly and excited to connect with new people!

I have over 1.5 years of experience working at engineering consulting firms in Canada, where I was responsible for client correspondence, preparing professional documents, and conducting fieldwork for construction sites.

In addition, I have more than four years of part-time experience in the service industry, including serving, kitchen assistance, hotel room cleaning, and front desk operations.

Growing up in a farming family, I also learned orchard work from a young age and have experience caring for fruit trees, tending vegetable gardens, and performing general farm work.

I enjoy all kinds of hands-on work and am passionate about learning new skills. I’d love the opportunity to help out!
