Hello from Josie & Lizzie!
We’re two creative friends from the UK in our early 30s, travelling around Australia and New Zealand. We're excited to meet new people, learn new skills, and exchange our energy and creativity for a place to stay!
Josie is a sewing teacher who enjoys cooking polish cuisine with a background in graphic design and illustration. Lizzie studied film and works in sustainable fashion marketing and loves spending her spare time gardening. We both share a deep love of food, music, and hands-on creative work. In fact, we’ve even run a pop-up BBQ together in Brighton!
Recently, from July till August this year, we completed a long-term workaway in Hualien, Taiwan, working in a café and a guesthouse, which was really rewarding, so we’re keen to have another opportunity and experience.
We also both lived with pets before moving and will really miss their company, so we are super keen to have a chance to travel while spending some time with animals. We have both grown up with a range of animals including cats, dogs, small animals and a tortoise 🐢 We both have experience pet sitting for family and neighbours in the UK and also more recently together in Australia. We can obtain a reference for previous pet sits upon request.
We're passionate about connecting with others through shared experiences and aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty. While we’re new to gardening and farm work, we love being outside and are eager to learn and contribute wherever we can. We're reliable, positive, and always up for a challenge—whether it’s helping out with a project, cooking, creating, or simply lending a hand.

Hi, I'm Josie!
I'm a 30-year-old creative from the UK, currently travelling through Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and the Philippines. I work as a sewing teacher and also design and make my own clothes. I studied graphic design and illustration, and I love working on hands-on, creative projects of all kinds.
I'm passionate about music (currently learning to play the drums!), and I’ve also helped run a pop-up BBQ business with my friend Lizzie in Brighton. I enjoy meeting new people, trying new foods, and discovering different ways of life.
I may not have much experience with gardening or outdoor labour, but I love being outside, staying active, and am always ready to learn and get stuck in with a good attitude. Travelling on a budget, I'm grateful for the chance to exchange my time and energy for a place to stay—and hopefully leave something positive behind in return!
