A sense of community is of utmost importance to me

I am exploring different cultures, getting inspired, learning about how to be human and meeting lifelong friends. Before this I was following the suggested path of university which didn’t work out at that moment. After I quit university I became a professional cook, learned about how incredible and also stressful the cooking culture can be. Next I trained and became a certified massuese fueled by my interest in the body and mind. I wanted to learn how to treat our body and mind the best to keep them healthy and happy. While working I added a job as a preschool assistant for fun because I wanted to learn from the kids how they are so stoked on life, excitable, and authentic. This got to be a lot of work having 1 job to pay the bills and 1 job for fun. So I learned I can do the thing I wanted to do the most which was travel and be able to work 4 hours a day in exchange. It’s been life changing and eye-opening, I’m grateful for workaway.

The Flos bring such a good energy and it’s felt all around their place. I got to be part of a special group of about 11 volunteers. We had so many laughs and there were always events like art, music, exercise, deep conversation, and cooking going on between the group.
