My name is Hannah Lindsay, I am 27 year old support worker from Edinburgh in Scotland and I am looking forward to my next workaway experience.
I arrived in New Zealand in early March and can't wait to join hosts on my travels. I am looking to learn as much as possible and try lots of new things.

I'm a friendly easy to talk to person who is more than happy to work in a team or on my own. I'm quick to learn and I am not scared to ask questions if i'm not sure about something.I love to get stuck right into the task in hand and I am always keen to try new things :) if I feel like I am ready to, I am more than happy to take on responsibilities!
I'm currently working as a support worker for young adults with special needs, a job I love!
When I was 11 I started volunteering at a riding for disabled this continued for 6 years, during this time I learnt about horse care and yard maintenance. I also learn how to ride and handle the horses and would assist in riding lessons.
I have lived and volunteered on farms and ranches in Scotland, Ireland and Canada.
I have woked in hotels and B&B helping with house keeping, cooking and helping guests.
Really keen to learn more about joinery and building.

I have worked on ranchs, farms and at riding schools so I am very comfortable around animals big and small!
I have recently bought a house so I have been trying my hand at DIY. I have picked up bits and bobs but would love to learn more.
Never worried about getting my hands dirty 😊
I have been a support worker for 10 years. Working with children and adults of all ages and abilities. I was also a teaching assistant in a primary school which I enjoyed a great deal!

In the morning we would head out and feed the animals then come in and have breakfast together which was nice. Then (weather dependent) I would head back out to get on with things that needed done outside. Back in for lunch and I would help where I could with prep etc. The meals were delicious and there was always a fresh… read more
Dinner time was lovely and there was always a dog on hand to cuddle. Got a few nice trips to Belfast and the towns close by and met lots of people from around the area. I felt at… read more
Help us paint, helped feed horses goats and other animals.
Was very good company.
