Descripción
We are an adventure seeking, energetic, fun loving couple who have been traveling Europe/UK in our van since the beginning of 2025. We have LOVED hiking in Switzerland, via ferratas in Italy, the blue waters in the Baltics and scenery of Scotland! On our adventure we have loved connecting with people, exploring environments that are different to home, learning new cultures and playing lots of card games.
We are both from Western Australia and have been living in Geraldton (where we met) for the last 3 years. We love this town because of the small community, proximity to the ocean (for diving, surfing, fishing and swimming) and its sports culture (we play Australian Rules Football, Hockey and Touch Rugby).
Ben grew up in Perth with a close knit extended family. His love for the ocean started young; with regular boat trips to nearby islands, learning to dive for crayfish with his brother, playing competitive waterpolo and spending countless hours surfing; he is never too far away from the water. This is why he studied coastal and marine science at university, leading him to work in aquaculture and most recently for the West Australian Fisheries (researching crayfish populations). Ben is someone that will always go out of his way to help, he will give anything a go and is interested in almost any topic. Ben is very much a morning person, thrives in hands on environments and can talk to anyone (in English). He has shown interest in learning a new language while we are away (preferably not through Duolingo!).
Grace grew up in Geraldton which helps her recognise the importance of small communities. A naturally competitive person she thrived in the abundant sports scene, always putting in extra time/effort to ensure she excelled in most sports (don’t ask about tennis). Living in rural Australia she had ample opportunities to see nature and interact with wildlife which has led to a love of animals (specifically her 2 dogs). Early international holidays sparked a fire in her to explore the world learning cultures, eating exciting foods and enjoying new experiences. At 17 she moved to Perth for university quickly adapting to independent living and developing lifelong friendships. A need to always help others, led her to a masters in Biomedical science and working in Cancer research. This and other high pressure work environments have helped her develop a methodical and organised approach to any task set ahead of her ( she’s loves logistics). Although athletic and academic she is at her best when she is socialising. An array of friends around the globe could testify to her emotional support, willingness to include others and ability to make a room laugh out loud.
Together we have chosen to spend an extended time in Norway, working and experiencing a country that is so unique. We show a preference towards outdoors, hands on work that will allow us to interact with locals and the environment.

Que habilidades tienes?
-Ben’s good with his hands and can usually figure things out by tinkering until he finds a solution.
He’s spent time working on boats, so he’s had plenty of practice with knots and splicing, along with general maintenance and upkeep of boats and motors.
-With a background in science, he’s worked with lots of data sets, which helped him build solid skills in Excel, RStudio, and other basic software.
-While working as a host on multi-day SCUBA tours, he learned how to plan and buy the right amount of food, cook meals, and keep things clean and organised for up to 15 people at a time
- Working at sea in tough conditions kept Ben fit and adaptable — he’s used to long days, rough weather, and thinking on his feet.

Algo más...
As we are from Western Australia, a dry and hot place, we are very excited by the opportunity to work in and around the snow.
We are keen snowboarders (not very talented…yet!) and are looking forward to spending some time in the mountains over winter!
