Hello! My name is Emily, I am from America, and am looking for the adventure of a lifetime! I just finished a ski instructor job in Queenstown New Zealand and am doing a bit of travel around New Zealand and Australia before heading back to the US. I am looking for a place to live in exchange for any type of work (and ideally food too). I hope to learn new skills, meet new people, try new foods, and fully embrace the NZ or Ausie way of living.

I am athletic, love being active outdoors, and eager to meet new people. I am a quick learner and could probably pick up any new skill. I LOVE traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. I have lots of experience working with children (nannying, tutoring, leading sports activities, being an older sister, etc), animals (I grew up on a farm with horses and chickens), hospitality, and some computer work. I have some experience with weeding gardens, organizing, cleaning, and DIY projects from previous Workaway and HelpX programs as well!

I like having variety in my days and mixing up my routine so in my free time I might choose to go on a hike one day and then stay home and play cards with family the next. I love animals, children, sports, exploring restaurants and local food, music and dancing, painting, ...pretty much anything!! I enjoy getting my hands dirty outside (in the garden or cleaning chicken coops), but am very clean and organized when it comes to indoor things. My friends would describe me as easy to get along with, go-with-the-flow, adventurous, determined and hard working. I can't wait for whatever adventure I end up on next!

I had a very relaxing and fun time in Mullumbimby with this beautiful family. Ture, Margit, Silas, and Sita were all amazing hosts. I am definitely going to miss all of them, including their dogs, cat, and chicken. Emily was a pleasure to host. She completed all tasks asked of her to a high standard. She was competent and confident with the horses. She enjoyed learning about Australian life on a farm. Fiona and Alex were the most amazing hosts!! I stayed with them for about 10 days and loved my routine that I got into while I was there.
