I'm looking to do as much as possible while travelling but I love running and cycling so I'd love to explore the places I'm staying by doing that. Workwise, I'm up for anything especially outdoor work

Descripción

I am a university graduate looking to spend a couple of months travelling before moving into a career job after spending the past couple of years doing bar work and conservation work. This would be my first time doing Workaways and I am up for any sort of work, especially anything involving nature. I love being outdoors and being active so while travelling I'm looking to enter some running events as well as spending a couple of weeks doing some manual work to extend my trip. I have not travelled in several years and wanted to go somewhere I have not travelled to before which is why I'm looking to go to more Eastern European countries.
I am mostly quite laid back but when given a job to do I am able to work hard and am willing to learn any new skills involved with the job. I'll be looking to explore the areas I travel to through walking and running, or potentially hiring a bike to see more rural areas. While travelling I will also be doing some job applications and some online courses to help with those applications so a Wi-Fi connection would be helpful but I am also happy to spend time in local cafes and working there instead.

Alongside my degree I have work experience in bars and also some manual labour experience in construction and conservation. I worked in the bar and restaurant of a 5 star hotel while at university and then spent a year as a bar supervisor while I finished my degree. In this second bar job I helped train new employees as well as taking responsibility for the bar and restaurant when the manager was away. This meant working well as part of a team to share tasks and create a memorable experience for guests as well being good with customers and ensuring their needs were met.
Following the bar work and the completion of my degree I gained some hands on experience with conservation work. This started with helping to construct a new path next to a river estuary before moving into more remote work in remote peatlands in England. Both of these roles involved long hours and a lot of manual labour as well as learning new skills quickly. I worked with concrete, learning to float it to a good finish as well as laying curbs and compacting the surface layer of infill. The peatland work required learning more skills such as constructing different types of small dams to retain water on the peatland and treating the peat soil before planting new vegetation.
While completing my degree and through the period of work listed above I have participated in team sports and organised charity fundraisers. I played football for my university and have even spent time coaching one of the teams I played for.
