Hi all,
I’m a Brit with wanderlust. Having grown in up in a military family who moved homes more frequently than we changed clothes, the desire to travel has been brewing inside me as soon as I left university.
Graduating from Cambridge university with a psychology degree, I decided to immediately go into clinical work, beginning the first steps of a long journey towards being a psychologist. However, starting this I realised I was about to commit to a ten year plan, when really I needed to go see the world first in order to become the person that could help people in the best way. After 12 months in the NHS and 6 months working in a rehab in Thailand, I’m looking to travel SE Asia right now, working as I go and meeting as many interesting and wonderful people that I can.
A few of my top skills as a workawayer: compassion, empathy, determination, patience, an easygoing nature, and always willing to see the positive/funny side of everything. I am looking to truly embrace workaway as a way of meeting great people and helping in whatever project I can.

With expertise in working in the mental health field, my main skills revolve around empathy and compassion. I pride myself on my care for others and their well-being, which makes me suitable for any role working with others - whether that be checking in on guests, teaching, helping in community projects, or just keeping up team morale.
I also have experience in doing vigorous and demanding roles, such as warehouse roles and landscape gardening (mostly to fun university 😂), meaning I’m not shy of putting in some elbow grease, working hard, and getting sweaty to get the job done!
Beyond this, I have volunteered as a teacher in Malawi, provided extensive childcare for children with special needs, and worked in elderly homes. Driving all of these experiences was my fundamental desire to help others, and each was aided by an easygoing nature that means no challenge is too large! I believe every challenge is solvable with the right attitude and will bring this belief to every role I occupy :).

- I’m a very active and fit person, and will play just about any sport under the sun with anyone. Extra points for rugby, football, or anything involving water.
- I listen to every genre of music under the sun, so will happily take music recommendations and make playlists for everyone and anyone.
- Give me a book and I’ll be happy for days ❤️
- Being outdoors and seeing new places keep my happy and smiling
