I grew up in a small farming town in Northern California, u.s. in an immigrant community. Most of my interests center around immigrant/migrant communities & the intersection of health & policy. I've been traveling now for over a year through work exchanges & have really enjoyed getting to know local communities & support local projects. I most enjoy learning about sustainability, eco-techniques, and farming while forming intentional relationships immersed in local cultures. I enjoy meeting new people & having deep conversations about life, food, travel, etc. I enjoy reading, especially historical fiction, being in nature, & dancing.

Que habilidades tienes?

I have a background in public health (management, educational workshops, small-scale & large-scale event planning etc.) & education (teaching preschool (classroom support); university-level math; & facilitating workshops (focus on nutrition)). I have volunteered in preschools since I was in high school & really enjoy working with children whenever I can.

Through different work exchanges, I have gained experience in general hospitality, including reception, basic maintenance, & some cooking/waitressing. I also lived in the Colombian Amazon where I supported jungle tours as an English/Spanish translator, and am happy to support with any language or translation services. The majority of my work exchanges have been eco-tourism or farming projects which blend my love for nature & sustainability with meeting people from around the world.

I have a huge interest in learning more about sustainable, regenerative organic farming, permaculture, & other eco-techniques which foster a harmonious relationship with mother nature. Overall, looking forward to share any skills I have, & learn more within the Workaway community.

I really enjoy reading & often spend my free time burying my nose in a book. I also enjoy doing puzzles, & listening to music in my free time. Usually a mix of indie folk, bachata, rock en español, or cumbias. I enjoy disconnecting in nature & hiking or finding the nearest trail to a local town, waterfall, or beach.
