After 10 years together, Dylan training and working as a data analyst and Cat studying environmental science and sustainable development and working in the field, we decided to leave the UK and travel!

We’ve spent the last four months travelling through Asia, soaking up the food, culture, nature, and the joyful chaos. We have shaped our travels around the things we love most: meeting new people, learning about different cultures, spending time outdoors, and finding ways to give back to the communities and environments we’re lucky enough to visit.

We are an enthusiastic, sociable, and altruistic couple, currently in Thailand and moving to Malaysia at the end of April, and we are excited to start workawaying :)

We offer the following skills and knowledge:
- We have worked in hospitality (Cat in a cafe and Dylan in a bar) so we have well-established practical and communicative skills in this area.
- Cooking skills and we are very tidy, so can help with housework jobs.
- Artistic skills, including photography, decorating, general DIY and producing content for Instagram.
- We have skills and experience in Sailing/Yachting, acting as crew on monohull yachts on multi-week cruises.
- Dylan is a data analyst by trade and has skills in coding, app and web development.
- Cat has two years of experience working in sustainable development and two related university degrees, so she can offer expertise to help sustainability projects progress and skills in environmental field research.
- With the skills above and our love of nature, we are a good team to help with environmental observation and conservation programmes.

Que habilidades tienes?

Before travelling, Dylan trained and worked as a data analyst, helping to develop apps and web platforms and building side projects just for fun. Dylan loves solving problems, especially the kind that involves a bit of creativity and logic. Whilst Dylan tapped away on his computer, Cat studied environmental science and sustainable development, honing in practical fieldwork and problem-solving skills in these areas. In between her studies, she had an Environmental Specialist role for the UK railway, working with a team to make the network more wildlife and resource friendly.

Outside of tech and sustainability, we have worked in hospitality and have well-practised people skills. We are tidy, can cook, and are more than happy to get stuck into housework or hands-on jobs.

We have also spent time crewing on multi-week sailing yacht trips, so we are comfortable working closely with others in small teams and unusual environments. We are sociable, enthusiastic, and absolutely love animals. We are keen to help however we can, whether that’s with people, nature, tech or tidying!
