What I enjoy most is gardening, the sheer physicality of it, creating a garden, seeing things grow. I worked on the council as a gardener for 3 years, driving a tractor around inner city Melbourne, planting up beds whipper snipping along embankments. Since then I have created gardens around me where ever I have found myself on my travels which have been extensive,
I owned a restaurant in Vietnam for two years, taught English in China for fifteen years. I have been back in Australia four years now, the last two years working as a volunteer on another popular website. These volunteer positions involved gardening, animal care and cooking.
I have many skills to offer my host, I am a qualified chef.
I have nearly completed Certificate four in AOD use which will qualify me to work as a support worker.
I can work well unsupervised and take pride in what I do.
Currently I am finishing up the establishment of a large raised bed vegetable garden, using hay bales, this has been a most satisfying project. Both my host and I are pleased with the outcome.
Prior to that I was farm sitting a herd of pedigree Nubian goats on the Sunshine coast through Aussie House Sitters website where I can also be found for further reference checks.
On a more personal level I enjoy my own company and the company of others, non drinker/smoker, vegetarian. have my own transport.
Updating my profile
After establishing the hay bale garden I worked as a volunteer for 5 months on a native flower hobby farm. A most beautiful property outside of Wonthaggi. My wonderful hosts Paul and Jenny can be contacted for a reference.
I am currently in Melbourne awaiting my student placement which is being delayed because of covid. I am really missing having animals around me and you tube video clips aren't doing it for me.

I enjoy board games and have started to play scrabble, I didn't realise how heated this game could become. Webinar is a word and just because its not in your 1979 dictionary..............
I enjoy working alongside people and talking as a way of getting to know each other as well as playing games.
