Hola, I'm Chris.
I'm an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a background in critical care and community nursing from Scotland but I'm currently living in Barcelona.

After nursing for 20 years, i'm wanting to expand my horizons, meet new people and learn new skills. My plan is to stay in Spain so I'm learning spanish and need to practice as much as possible.

I'm interested in learning new knowledge and skills in sustainability/permaculture and genreal DIY/renovation skills. I was brought up in the countryside helping on a livestock farm and am interested in sustainability, self sufficiency and regeneration.

I own my own apartment in Scotland so have experience in the basics such as painting, filling small holes, putting up shelves and curtains, building furniture and touble shooting appliences etc, but I'd love to learn more.
In my last work away I worked on a small farm looking after chickens, planting trees and vegetables and helped erect a fence. As well as coooking and cleaning with a group of amazing people.

In my spare time I love meeting new people and making new friends. I enjoy keeping fit and playing beach volleyball.

I'm a registered nurse so I'm used to working with people from all backgrounds, and ages. I have lots of experience working with often vunerable people in difficult or distressing situations as part of multidisciplinary team, and have good communication, prioritising and problem solving skills. I'm also required to have regular background and police checks.

If you need someone to look after you in intensive care or diagnose and treat complex medical conditions i'm your man :).

In all seriousness though nursing isn't very practical for alot of useful everyday skills but I have experience working in difficult situations with a smile and a sense of humour and
I'm fit and healthy and can work hard.

I love travelling and love getting to know new cultures, history and experiences .
I try to be adventurous and enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, climbing and I wouldn't be scottish without enjoining a night out with some good music company and a few drinks.
