💼 Work Experience & Skills

With more than 25 years of professional experience working for both contractors and government organizations, I have developed a solid background in the management and maintenance of civil engineering structures. Over the past years, I have gained extensive expertise in urban water management, which has strengthened my problem-solving skills, organizational insight, and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.

🌱 In my free time, I enjoy gardening and taking care of the maintenance of my own home. This hands-on experience has given me practical skills in repairs, landscaping, and general upkeep.

🌍 I am also an active volunteer with Natuurmonumenten (a Dutch nature conservation organization), where I contribute to preserving and protecting natural areas.

🤿 Additionally, I hold a PADI diving certificate, which allows me to participate in underwater activities and projects connected to nature, water, and conservation.

✨ With this combination of professional expertise, practical skills, and a strong commitment to sustainability, I am ready to contribute to a wide variety of projects, both indoors and outdoors.

🌟 Hobbies & Personal Background

I am an active man who loves spending time outdoors. Several times a week you will find me in nature, whether it’s swimming in open water (3 times a week), cycling between 80–100 km per week, or hiking in the mountains with my sons – something we truly enjoy doing together.

Family is very important to me. After my divorce, I raised my two sons on my own for 20 years, which has given me a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to run a household independently and efficiently.

I deeply enjoy immersing myself in nature – I love hiking, observing wildlife, and I am an enthusiastic birdwatcher. These moments outdoors give me energy, joy, and inspiration.

Although I am 58 years old, I feel much younger in both body and spirit! My active lifestyle, positive outlook, and open attitude help me to stay fit, motivated, and ready to contribute wherever I can.
