Christina was very helpful and thorough doing all kinds of jobs around the home and in the garden. Always willng to do the jobs given and well. I really enjoyed her company and would happily have her return anytime.

You can often see an adventurous spirit... Kjell arrived at the farm in our absence! He settled in well and was taken through all of the farm traditions. Kjell is a great problem solver and was keen to involve himself in all of the projects happening at the time - wood chopping, garden bed construction, garden bed preparing and garlic planting, digging and excavation and many other tasks. When faced with an artistic task - the mosaic - he initially demurred but soon found himself creating sheep and contributing to the greater chaos! The animals all loved Kjell immediately and he was a good companion to them. We were very happy to meet Kjell and get to know him. He interacted well with all of our other visitors and was a great help in the preparation for Robbie's birthday party. We really enjoyed our time with him and we are grateful for the gift of his time and effort. We wish him well on his journey around Australia.

This is Gabriel first experience with workaway while visiting USA. Gabriel is from Colombia and wanted to practise English. Our family welcome him to our home. We share many cultural experiences meeting new friends, playing games, going to picnics and have some zip line adventures. Gabriel is easy to get along with the family. We have to make sure the chores instruction are listed in Spanish so he understand what needs to be accomplish for the task we listed for him to complete. Our family wish him all the best for his next chapter.

I spent two weeks with Nong and Steve and really enjoyed my time there. They were both very welcoming and easy to get along with, and I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. The work was fair and straightforward, and there was plenty of time to relax and explore the area. What I appreciated most was how kind and generous they were during my stay. They genuinely looked after me and made me feel more like a guest than just a volunteer. Chumphon is a beautiful place, and I’m glad I got to experience it while staying with them. Thanks again Nong and Steve for everything, and I hope our paths cross again one day.

I had a great experience volunteering here for two weeks. The communication was always clear and smooth, which made everything easy from the beginning. The tasks were well explained and reasonable, and I always knew what was expected of me. The atmosphere in the hostel was very friendly and welcoming. I felt comfortable right away and enjoyed spending time with both the team and the guests. Overall, it was a positive experience and I would definitely recommend this hostel to future volunteers. We were delighted to have Célie stay with us in March and May. She is a lovely, kind, and pleasant person to be around, and she quickly became a valued part of our family. She is thoughtful and caring, always looking out for others and making sure everything is taken into consideration. Our children loved being around Célie. One of the things we appreciated most was her ability to let the children be themselves. She has a special gift for encouraging children to express themselves freely while making them feel understood and comfortable. She approached everything with a positive attitude. We will always remember the special effort she put into making André’s 5th birthday party so memorable. We also loved her unique way of organising things around the house and will fondly remember the delicious French dishes she prepared for us. We are very grateful for all the wonderful memories we shared together—picnics at the beach, walks, cooking and baking, movie nights, celebrating her birthday, and many meaningful conversations. Some of my favourite memories are the days we spent together at our local beach, my first surfing lesson, playing bowling, and eating unlimited sushi together. Célie brought warmth, kindness, and joy to our home, and we feel truly fortunate to have spent time with her.

Absolutely delightful women and delightful guests too for that manner. They both had a sensitive, caring, easy going, sunny and respectful, disposition. they were organised, clean and helpful. very responsible and trust worthy were fine to be independent, and socially comfortable too. Andrew lent them his car. I left them on their own to look after the property some times, and invited them to come back and stay in Brissy too. They are awake alert and have their shite together making them a joy to have around. They demonstrated attention to detail and style, they up lifted transformed spaces by leaving them smart inviting and super clean.

Sometimes in life you feel that life contains no mystery. This does not happen here, with danielle. I experienced so much profoundness, so much beauty, so much life, and especcially so much love. The beauty of the place does not reprisent the love of danielle, he became a brother, because of his open arms. I cannot recogment enough to go to this place. Its still a mistery to me, what actually took place in the months i was there. Thankyou I love you

It was an absolute pleasure to host Pheobe and Ben. They couldn't have been more generous with their skills, time and willingness to help. They created wonderful meals, Pheobe sewed cushion covers, Ben split a lot of wood sharpened tools and knives and fixed tools and together we made a tremendous hot compost. They were loved by my community. Now everyone wants to sign up for workaway! Thanks Ben and Pheobe xx

I hosted Cassidy and Löic for three weeks while I was in and out of work. They were nice and responsible, lovingly caring for the cats and dog, keeping the house tidy and clean. A well-mannered young couple. Good luck, guys!

Even though I was there for only a short time, I had a wonderful experience with the children from the playgroup and Grades 1, 2, and 3. They were curious, eager to learn, full of energy, and always excited to explore new things. I spent most of my time with Padmapriya Ma’am and was really impressed by her patience, care, and teaching methods. Her use of repetition, hand gestures, and visual aids made learning engaging and effective for the children. I also observed Tanslia, Geetu, Gauri, and Hanna, who were all hardworking, dedicated, and genuinely invested in the children’s growth and learning. A special thank you to Reshma Ji for welcoming me, guiding me throughout my time there, and managing everything with such a warm smile. She creates a positive environment for both the children and the staff. I also appreciated the accommodation arrangements, which were very comfortable and thoughtfully organized for volunteers. Overall, it was inspiring to see such a dedicated team working together. Thank you all for the space. I truly enjoyed my time there and learned a lot myself along the way. 🙏

Vorerst: Vielen Dank, dass ich Teil Eurer Familie sein durfte und erleben konnte, wie liebevoll ihr Euch um andere kümmert und wie wunderschön Südfrankreich mit so einer tollen Gesellschaft ist! Barbara's welcome was one of the best, hihi. I got so many hugs and so much love from her, and everything else I needed was taken care of by Michel and Valérie. The "sharing is caring" mentality was truly lived to the fullest! We ate a lot of fresh, local food, like fruit and vegetables from the farmers' market and fresh eggs from the chickens, who would always come to visit in the garden or during my pool breaks. And thanks to Valérie's cooking, we got to enjoy delicious homemade meals every day! It was very important to Michel to take me on trips and show me the area. Thanks to him, I got to discover so many beautiful places, and some of my favorite memories were made in Cassis:) They were always helpful and still are! They also gave me a great start with the French language and helped me whenever they could. It's a little safe space there, and I would recommend it to every girl who wants to become part of a lovely family in the South of France 💖 Thank you again for this special month, for all the care, the laughter, and the memories we shared together ✨ Bisous!!

Sandra and her son Nils were very kind and attentive to our family. As for their help, they were very independent and capable of doing many things! It was a pleasure to host them!

Charlie was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She gathered herbs and nettles, and was very patient while preparing and weaving the willow fencing—which now delights the eyes of passersby. She also painted a garden pillar that now adorns the magical garden.She helped clear the garden of the many broken branches after heavy storms. We also had many interesting conversations, too. Charlie is comfortable occupying herself and was always very helpful; she appreciates receiving clear instructions. Thank you for being so easygoing. gladly again.

Margault et Philippe sont un couple absolument adorable, avec une très belle énergie. Ils sont restés chez nous deux mois et se sont impliqués avec beaucoup de cœur, d’autonomie et de sérieux dans tout ce qu’ils ont entrepris. Ce sont des personnes sur qui l’on peut totalement compter : soigneuses, débrouillardes, ingénieuses, attentives, respectueuses, avec un vrai goût du travail bien fait. Ils ont pris soin de notre lieu comme si c’était le leur. Ils ont participé à de nombreux travaux : peinture, jardinage, arrosage, débroussaillage, entretien des bananiers, déplacement de gravats, démolition, pose de rideaux et de barres en bambou, construction d’une salle de bain extérieure, déplacement et organisation de meubles, montage de lits, coffres et autres meubles parfois complexes à assembler. Ils ont toujours su faire preuve d’initiative et trouver des solutions avec intelligence et simplicité. Dans le projet de départ, il était également prévu qu’ils participent à la cuisine pendant quelques jours où nous recevions du monde sur place. Ils l’ont fait avec le même engagement que pour tout le reste, avec beaucoup de cœur et de disponibilité et de flexibilité lors des imprévus. Ils ont aussi su interagir avec grande finesse avec un groupe de personnes en situation de handicap que nous avons accueilli sur notre finca. Margault et Philippe sont calmes, discrets et respectueux, tout en étant joyeux, drôles, intéressants et curieux. Ils aiment apprendre, découvrir de nouvelles techniques ou de nouvelles idées, et on sent qu’ils prennent plaisir à pouvoir ensuite les réutiliser chez eux. Ils sont dans la gratitude, dans l’envie de participer, et cela rend leur présence très agréable. Nous avons aussi eu le plaisir de les accueillir dans notre autre finca en bord de mer, où ils se sont révélés être de véritables yeux de lynx : ils repéraient les dauphins qui passaient devant chez nous, ainsi que les caméléons vivant dans le parc naturel. Et bien sûr, nous garderons aussi un excellent souvenir de nos parties de truco ensemble. Ce sera avec un immense plaisir que nous les recevrons à nouveau. Nous les recommandons très chaleureusement à toute personne qui souhaite accueillir des volontaires fiables, autonomes, soigneux, humains et profondément agréables à vivre. Encore merci à tous les deux pour votre aide, votre présence, votre belle énergie et votre très joli cadeau d’au revoir.

Ich hatte eine wunderschöne Woche im Schloss. Alle waren total nett und offen, und haben sich bemüht, mir eine gute Zeit zu bereiten. Ein Wochenende war große Geburtstagsfeier mit Livemusik, wir waren in der Sauna, spazieren am nahegelegenen See, habe zum ersten Mal gedrechselt und viel öfter das Mietshaussydikat gelernt. Meine Aufgaben waren abschleifen eines Tisches, bauen eines Klohäuschens, kochen, Tomatenpflanzen umsetzen,... Und Unterbringung und Verpflegung waren auch sehr gut, also kann es nur empfehlen, das Schloss zu besuchen!

Simone stayed with us for two weeks, helping in both of our homes. He is one of the best volunteers we have ever hosted, and we can wholeheartedly recommend him to any future host. He is an exceptionally calm, responsible, and trustworthy person. From the very beginning, we felt comfortable relying on him and giving him tasks independently. Simone is honest, dependable, and mature, and he is the kind of person you can trust with your home without hesitation. He approached every task with great care and attention to detail. His work was always completed to a high standard, and he consistently showed commitment and a strong work ethic. Whenever a project required extra time or effort, he was happy to help and never complained about working a little longer to get the job done properly. Beyond his work, Simone is a polite, respectful, and easy-going person who is a pleasure to have around. He adapted quickly to our lifestyle, respected house rules, and contributed to a positive atmosphere throughout his stay. Living and working together felt completely natural and stress-free. We are very grateful for all of his help and would be delighted to host him again in the future. We recommend Simone without any reservations and are confident that he will be a valuable addition to any host’s project.

I've stayed with Paola for three weeks and it was so nice. Paola is a wonderfull hostess. You will have your own room and bathroom. She cooks amazingly and although the agreement was, that I would make food for myself, did she cook a lot for both of us, or whoever was in the house at the time. My task where mostly surrounding the dogs. I throwed a lot of balls for Otto during my stay and we went on an 2/3 hour walk most days in the mountains. After that i walked Lady, usually a bit shorter. Then i did whatever Paola told me, from mowing the lawn to cleaning the backyard. Nothing to hard. In my freetime I sat a lot in the backgarden reading and chrocheting. During my days of I went on a daytrip to Milano, you can take the train very easily from Domodossola. If you need more places to go or inspiration, Paola and especially also Alessandra will help you with everything. During my stay, Paola went on a cycling tour to Germany. So i stayed alone with her sister and her parents. The live in the same house, but different entrance. They mostly speak Italian and as I didn't speak any, we mostly communicated with hands and feet. Everybody was so nice, Paolas mum even teached me how to knit, without talking. Would highly recommend :))
