Hello there,
Welcome to workaway. What a great way to connect with people locally and learn about their ways of lives and experience the culture, do some sightseeing and make new friends. So who are we?
We are a multicultural Christian family that lives in Maryland. We have 2 girls age from 14 and 11 years old. We enjoy sharing experience, traveling, enjoy music, playing strategy board games, hosting a party, have intercultural food experiences, networking etc... we are looking for reliable help who are responsible, caring and loves children. You will requested to help around the house where needed, teach another language, light gardening, help with cooking family meals. We provide food and a good safe friendly family environment. If you have a special diet, let us know and we will accommodate your need where we see fit. We have a dog and she loves to walk and play.

Nov 8, 2025 to Nov 22, 2025 ( 2 weeks)
We love to travel as well as host travelers, getting to know others and learning from them while sharing our experiences and skills. As we've learned, "Everyone's different!" and it's fun seeing how that looks in relation to our family. Our home has a dog and we preferred a non-smoker. We provide food and you will share what we have. We will provide a big bedroom for your stay. There is WIFI available. There are public transportation like METRO but plenty of other options like UBER, Ztrip, Lyft to take you around. Our home is just 30 min away from Washington DC. There are plenty of parks, lake and hiking trails around the area. There is so much to explore in Washington DC learning the history of where America begins.
You will be requested to contribute up to 25 hours weekly. We are flexible on your help days as long as you accomplish your list of tasks and hours agreed. You will have ample of free time to yourself doing your chores and personal stuff at your own pace. We ask for your willingness to learn and contribute where needed. You are also free to visit, travel on possible Fridays, all day Saturday and Sunday. We can also hang out to play board games, watch movies, go hiking etc...
Please be reminded that we are very strict in our household. Take note that we will not tolerate any theft, fraud, smoking, alcohol, foul languages, loud music, sex or pornography, abuse, and drugs usage during the stay at our home. You will be asked to leave the house immediately if caught with this inappropriate behaviour. We expect you to set a good example to our children. We hope you understand our concern on setting the ground rules so you understand our expectations.
