  Homestead in the forest close to Bengtsfors. We are a couple that have chickens, bees, a vegetable garden with greenhouse, etc. The house is beautifully situated on the southern slope above a small lake and here we have, for the last 6 years, made our home after leaving the city.
  
  There are always things going on, with lots of projects in and around the house. This is not a minimalistic home, but also not a mess. It is a homestead and there are many functions ongoing at the same time. We also have work that can be performed from a distance and so the homestead is our passion, but not our source of income.
  
  The place is perfect for anyone that works from home (fiber internet in the house), that wants a peaceful place to reflect while also having routines taking care of chickens and cats. There are lakes where one can paddle and swim, and lots of forests to walk in.
  
  There are two young cats and a group of chickens. You need to be a calm and reassuring presence without imposing to get to know them and make them feel secure with an unknown person in their home while we are away. It is a big plus if you are a cat person yourself and know what we mean.

  If you want to try living in a homestead, or already know that you like it, this is a chance for you to do so for 1--2 weeks.

  House sitting. Care for a group of chickens and two cats. Other than that, some wood chopping would be appreciated, but the help wanted is mainly associated with house sitting and care for animals. We are looking for a dependable person or a couple, that are happy with living in a small homestead, with everything that means.

  You will sleep in our bedroom. We will provide clean sheets. You will bring your own food during the house sitting stay.

  Our house is and contains a lot of projects. This is not an a short term rental accomodation, but an ongoing project. We make beer, honey, different ferments, grow vegetables and a lot of chilis. You need to be OK with living, and maintaining a level or order, in what some people would call a "mess", although it is not dirty. If you have seen a small homestead, you may know what we mean.
