  Descripción

  We are a couple living in an older house with a big garden in a quite green part of the ruhr area „Ruhrgebiet“ in North Rhine-Westfalia.
  
  We are looking for helpers for gardening, household and any kind of work that comes in an older house. There are always jobs and projects around house&garden to be done as well as new ideas coming in 😊
  
  The garden is a big project itself with the seasonal work additional the things in process or which are waiting for it e.g. caring the wooden furniture, building new pathes, repairing equipment and of cause hundreds of plans to make it become an even nicer place :-)
  But also in and at the house we want to change and repair some parts so if you feel connected with that kind of work: we'll find jobs you like and can do :D
  
  We live ecofriendly, take care for the environment and practise foosharing (saving foods of being wasted from private and from groceries). Trying to reduce, reuse, recycle or rebuy are our living principles which we’d like to share with you.
  
  A cat and several inhabitants of our close-to-nature-garden live with us and should be fine for you :)
  
  Vegetarian food is basically included (planted basic staples like vegetables, fruits, bread, grains, cereals, herbs, tea etc.).
  
  We prefer a tidy, clean area and would very welcome you to take part.
  
  Due to a low immune system: A negative covid test at arriving date is obligated for your stay. We please you to accept and show before arriving on your own!!

  Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje

  We’d like to show you an ecofriendly and moneysaving living with gardening, growing and preserving foods, saving foods in different ways, reusing and repairing stuff and doing/producing things on your own instead of buying it industrial made.
  
  We speak German, English and basic Italian.
  
  In the agglomeration many sport activities as well as (industrial) culture and many museums wait for you.
  
  A public bike station and a public transport station are very close to our house so you are free to explore the surroundings easily by your own.
  
  We help you finding and organizing the activities you like. From time to time we also would be happy to show you our home town and the area around if you are interested in.
  
  In general you might spend your free time on your own due to your own living area and as we both need our own space, too. Nonetheless, we are open for exchanges and new experiences and let’s just see what happens and how it comes :)

  Ayuda

  You help us 4.5 hours/5 days per week. helping times can be arranged flexible due to your preferences.
  
  Especially in the gardening season we need help in the outside but there is always also tasks in and around the house to do. You can be sure there is a pool of different tasks to be done and together we'll discuss which ones should be yours. e.g.
  
  * The garden is in change from traditional to natural with different areas. Several projects wait for your help to get realized like making new step parth, building a chill-area, repairing our tree house, recreating the pond, converting the compost, building a compost toilet, implementing plants … as well as classic routine gardening tasks.
  
  * Around house&garden there is always a lot to do: woodworking, repairing work, refurbishing furniture, regular housework,…
  
  * Repairing clothes, building some new equipment or sanding&painting the outdoor furniture might also be possible work if you like.
  
  * We‘d also appreciate if you’d like to cook the daily meal (vegetarian) for us (optional) and would love to take it together :) It's just an option if you like cooking :-)
  
  
  Currently Christian works abroad most of the time so it'll be mostly you and Virginia staying together.

  Alojamiento

  * We live in a house which is located at the end of a calm dead-end street and just a 5-minute-walk away from a forest area with 6 lakes included *
  
  Several possibilities for your stay:
  
  * You stay in your own room inside our house which includes a single bed and a desk.
  
  * You continue sleeping in your camper which can be placed next to our house on a private parking area.
  
  * You sleep in your tent in our backyard.

  We share our kitchen as well as our bathroom. The living and bed rooms are private space (for you and for us).
  
  Our Wifi works inside as well as outside in the garden where you find several places to rest. Feel invited to relish our green area <3
  
  
  If you smoke we please you to only smoke outside and keep the rooms free from dust.
  
  The stay ist not possible for kids and dogs.

  Next to the house:
  we live in a huge green area with forests and several lakes only a 5 minutes walk away. Feel invited to settle down in the green environment :-)
  In the enclosed area you can walk, ride, climb or do water sports like swimming, cayak, water-ski or SUP.
  
  public transport:
  Bus station is only 3 minutes away, next train station 15 minutes walk, the main station 15 minutes by bus.
  There are also several public bike sharing stations around.
  
  culture and sports:
  Close you find many museums and industrial culture as well as many possibilities for sport activities.
  
  towns around:
  Big cities like Düsseldorf, Cologne (Köln) and Aachen are less than one hour away as well as the Netherlands and Belgium.
  A trip to Hamburg or Frankfurt could be managed by train within 3 hours, to München (Munich) within 6 hours.
  
  
  If you’d love to go for a trip somewhere we give you the freedom to arrange the working time flexible so e.g. you might go for a 3-day-city-trip after working 6 days in a roll or working one hour more each single day a week before. :)
