Being hardworking, having a curious demeanor and thriving on positive relationships moreover, I treasure the peace of nature. This is how I wish to welcome you to the Island of Orleans!

Indeed, our Ile d'Orléans, near Quebec City is considered to be the region's refrigerator and pantry. Yes! Sounds silly right? But it is far from it; mainly made by agricultural lands and overflowing with agro-tourism businesses such as vineyards, cider works, blackcurrant products, vinegars, soap factories and many others. In addition, several small craft shops, art galleries, and cafes are also worth visiting. Founded in 1608, it is full of history and historic architectures.

Nearby, there is access to the Saint Laurent River, you can spend time at the beach swimming or do any another water sports. Easily walking accessible and worth admiring the other side or our island (south shore) and contemplating boats passing; simply magnificent!

We are 25 minutes away from Quebec City using public transportation. Our bus can pick you up in the morning and bring you back at the end of the day and on your days off. Please note that, there is no public transport linking our Island to town on evenings.

If you are interested in city life, it would be wiser to find a place directly downtown Quebec in order to work there. We are on the countryside, life in nature and in peace are mainly the attractions of our site.

    Maintenance:

Between morning ends and the middle of the afternoon (2 pm), you must have your rooms clean along with bathrooms, and common spaces every day. Make the laundry, dusting, cobwebs, wash the floors etc. I will be insisting on the cleanliness of the premises, it is our main challenge so that the Inn is hospitable, neat and welcoming for visitors.

    Evening reception

Welcoming customers, payments, giving information on the main attractions to visit in the region according to the tastes and interests of clients is key. Showing people around, rooms, providing information about breakfasts and opening hours.

Ideally, I'm looking for individuals who displays an easy smile, who are friendly and pleasant to connect with, courteous and presents well. Obvious as it may appear, we work with the public in tourist area, we must be well-mannered and respectful.

Being bilingual (French & English) is one of our main competences. Since we are in an old house, a sense of resourcefulness is important for resolving small unforeseen events that may arise.

On evenings, entertainment by the fire for customers are one of the perks. This is a great opportunity in getting to know them, discover other experiences, learn more about Quebec culture and other nationalities.

This is perfect if you plan to study tourism / business administration as you'll experienced many aspects working with public, housekeeping and many more aspects.

It will also be my pleasure to provide you with valuable referrals for university and/or future employment.

This is a full-time position with two days off per week. Those days are flexible, maybe weekends, but can also be weekdays. They can also be back-to-back or separate, on sunny or to fall on rainy days. I do try my very best in acknowledging the preferences of all my onsite workers onsite, while keeping in mind the tasks that needs to be done.

Please do some research on the different types of Visas BEFORE applying; I do not know what type of Visa you are admissible for and/or what documents you need etc. ... furthermore, I cannot help in obtaining you a visa. You can look on PVTiste or on Canada travel VISA.
Check if you have the right work and/or travel permit to come to Canada. In addition, you will absolutely need your personal insurance to travel (illness, accident, theft etc.)
