Hi, we are a family from Brescia, a town in northern Italy, located between Milan and Verona, very close to lakes Garda and Iseo and several mountain tourist resorts. We live in a peripheral area, very green and quiet, very close to the city center. Our family consists of two parents, a nine-year-old boy and a cat. My husband and I work as employees (I part time), while little Davide goes to school. During the summer holidays I would like to host a workawayer who can spend a few hours playing and babysitting with Davide while I work, so that he improves his English and can open up to different cultures. Davide is an active, sociable, friendly and very good child, a good playmate. I'm looking for someone who loves being with children, doesn't need special care, knows how to do everything alone, just for company and play.

Ciao, siamo una famiglia di Brescia, una cittadina del nel nord Italia, sita tra Milano e Verona, molto vicina ai laghi di Garda e di Iseo e a diverse località turistiche montane.
Viviamo in una zona periferica, molto verde e tranquilla, vicinissima al centro città.
La nostra famiglia è composta da due genitori, un bambino di nove anni e una gatta. Io e mio marito lavoriamo come impiegati (io part time), mentre il piccolo Davide va a scuola. Nel periodo delle ferie estive mi piacerebbe ospitare un workawayer che possa passare qualche ora di gioco e babysitting con Davide mentre io lavoro, in modo che migliori il suo inglese e possa aprirsi a culture differenti.
Davide è un bambino attivo, socievole, simpatico e molto buono, un buon compagno di giochi. Cerco una persona che ami stare con i bambini, non ha bisogno di cure particolari, sa fare tutto da solo, solo di compagnia e gioco.

As our guest you will be able to spend time with our family: in our free time we like to take trips to the mountains or in the summer to take trips on the lake, we have a canoe that we use on Lake Garda. I love cooking, so if interested, I could teach you some Italian cuisine. You will also have a lot of free time: you will only be busy until around 2pm from Monday to Friday, so you can dedicate a lot of time to sightseeing.

Come nostro ospite potrai passare del tempo con la nostra famiglia: nel tempo libero ci piace fare gite in montagna o in estate fare gite sul lago, abbiamo una canoa che utilizziamo sul lago di Garda. Io amo cucinare, quindi, se interessato/a, potrei insegnare un po' di cucina italiana. Inoltre avrai molto tempo libero: sarai impegnato solo fino verso le 14 dal lunedì al venerdì, quindi potrai dedicare molto tempo a visite turistiche.

I need someone to help me with Davide when I will be at work, about five hours a day from Monday to Friday. It includes breakfast and lunch: the meals are already prepared by me, so there is no need to cook. Davide loves to play outdoors, you can use the bicycles for a walk, go to the park, the swimming pool or simply play at home. He is learning English at school and with private courses, I would like him to train a bit in the language and have the opportunity to grow and enrich himself through this cultural exchange. For me it is essential that a good relationship is created with the child and that you both can have fun and spend pleasant time together, so that the experience is positive and profitable for everyone. I'm not interested in having help at home, but rather that the person who chooses to stay with us is positive, welcoming and friendly towards Davide. He is a very sociable, talkative, fun and independent child, therefore, for those who love children, I assure you that the task required is not difficult!

Ho bisogno di qualcuno che mi aiuti con Davide nei momenti in cui io sarò al lavoro, circa cinque ore al gg dal lunedì al venerdì. Comprende il momento della colazione e del pranzo: i pasti sono già predisposti da me, non serve quindi cucinare. Davide ama giocare all'aperto, è possibile usare le biciclette per una passeggiata, andare al parco, in piscina o semplicemente giocare a casa. Sta imparando l'inglese a scuola e con dei corsi privati, vorrei che si allenasse un po' nella lingua e avesse l'occasione di crescere e arricchirsi tramite questo scambio culturale. Per me è fondamentale che si crei una buona relazione con il bambino e che entrambi possiate divertirvi e passare del tempo piacevole insieme, in modo che l'esperienza sia positiva e proficua per tutti. Non mi interessa avere dell'aiuto in casa, quanto piuttosto che la persona che sceglierà di stare con noi sia positiva, accogliente e amichevole con Davide. Lui è un bambino molto socievole, chiacchierone, divertente e autonomo, quindi, per chi ama i bambini, vi assicuro che il compito richiesto non è difficile!

We have two homes: the main one in the city of Brescia, Italian capital of culture 2023, very close to the historic center, easily reachable by bus. Well connected by railway line to nearby cities such as: Milan, Verona, Venice, Bologna, Turin, Mantua, Cremona... and also to the lakes (Lake Garda and Lake Iseo). The house has two bathrooms, three bedrooms, kitchen, living room and has a small garden. It is in a very green and quiet neighborhood, 200 m from the forest and hill of S. Anna, equipped with all useful services (shops, post office, pharmacy,...) within walking distance, and buses that take you to the city center . We also have a small apartment (three-room apartment) on Lake Garda, in a complex with swimming pool, 300 m from the "la Romantica" beach in Manerba del Garda: a beautiful tourist location, very popular in summer. We will spend part of the time in the city and part on the lake. In both houses the workawayer will have a private room, will be able to use the kitchen, we will take care of the spending for the family and also the care of the house, the workawayer will only have to entertain Davide during the hours in which I work (sometimes I work from home and most of the time in the office) and keep your room tidy and clean.

I take care of all the meals. If I'm not physically present during some meals (e.g. lunch on days when I'm in the office), I leave a ready-cooked meal in the fridge. The kitchen is also equipped with all appliances in case there is a need to heat something (oven, microwave, air fryer).

Abbiamo due abitazioni: la principale nella città di Brescia, capitale italiana della cultura 2023, molto vicino al centro storico, raggiungibile facilmente con l'autobus. Ben collegata dalla linea ferroviaria alle città vicine come: Milano, Verona, Venezia, Bologna, Torino, Mantova, Cremona... e anche ai laghi (Lago di Garda e lago d'Iseo).
La casa è dotata di due bagni, tre camere, cucina, salotto, ha un piccolo giardino. E' in un quartiere molto verde e tranquillo, a 200 m dal bosco e collina di S. Anna, dotato di tutti i servizi utili (negozi, poste, farmacia,...) raggiungibili a piedi, e autobus che portano in centro città.
Inoltre abbiamo un piccolo appartamento (trilocale) sul lago di Garda, in un complesso con piscina, a 300 m dalla spiaggia "la Romantica" di Manerba del Garda: una bella località turistica, molto frequentata in estate. Passeremo parte del tempo in città e parte sul lago.
In entrambe le case il/la workawayer avrà una camera privata, potrà utilizzare la cucina, pensiamo noi alla spesa per la famiglia e anche alla cura della casa, il workawayer dovrà soltanto intrattenere Davide nelle ore in cui io lavoro (a volte lavoro da casa e la maggior parte delle volte in ufficio) il workwayer dovrà inoltre tenere in ordine e pulita la propria stanza autonomamente.

Penso io a tutti i pasti. Se non sono fisicamente presente durante alcuni pasti (esempio pranzo nei giorni in cui sono in ufficio), lascio un pasto pronto cucinato nel frigo. La cucina è inoltre dotata di tutti gli elettrodomestici in caso ci fosse necessità di scaldare qualcosa (forno, microonde, friggitrice ad aria).

In his free time, the workawayer will mainly be able to do tourism, both in the city and outside: many tourist locations are very close to the city and well connected by public transport: cities such as Verona, Milan, Venice, Padua, Bologna can be visited in a day and reachable by bus. train. Rome can be easily reached by a red arrow train that leaves and arrives at Brescia station (however, several days are recommended for the visit). Furthermore, from the apartment on the lake you can easily reach the tourist resorts of Lake Garda by boat (e.g. Desenzano, Salò, Sirmione, ....) and by bus/train you can also reach the Garda parks: Gardaland, Movieland, Caneva. .. On the lake it is also possible to rent surfboards, SUPs or do simple trekking.

Nel tempo libero il workawayer potrà principalmente fare turismo, sia in città sia fuori: molte località turistiche sono molto vicine alla città e ben collegate dai mezzi pubblici: città quali Verona, Milano, Venezia, Padova, Bologna sono visitabili in giornata e raggiungibili con il treno. Roma è raggiungibile facilmente con un treno freccia rossa che parte e arriva alla stazione di Brescia (per la visita si consigliano però più giorni). Inoltre dall'appartamento sul lago sono raggiungibili facilmente le località turistiche del lago di Garda tramite battello (es. Desenzano, Salò, Sirmione, ....) e tramite pullman/treno anche i parchi del Garda: Gardaland, Movieland, Caneva,...
Sul lago è inoltre possibile noleggiare surf, SUP o fare semplici trekking.
