***ONLY SOLO TRAVELERS - NO COUPLES NO GROUP OF FRIENDS
***We are a small social hostel (18 beds) so we only accept solo travelers, where instantly you will be able to make friends.
*** WE ARE NOT A PARTY HOSTEL OR HEAVY DRINKING PLACE, so we are not looking for an entertainer or pub crawl leader.
Our hostel is located inside our four-generation family home, which was destroyed during the last war in the 1990s. We worked really hard to renovate the house that has a special place in our hearts, so it's not an any ordinary hostel.
Your duties will include:
Help with housekeeping (changing beds, cleaning common areas, corridors, bathrooms)
Reception duties - no nights shifts or early mornings
Socializing with guests
We look forward to having you in sunny Mostar

Being born and raised in city of Mostar, you will have great access to anything you are interested regarding our culture, history, food ect.

Daily tasks will de divided into 2 shifts, it is always possible to get a day off, you just need to communicate your requirements to us.
Accommodation in a dormitory with other volunteers, free breakfast and lunch or dinner every day.
Free coffee, tea and weekly laundry. There is so much to see around Mostar, so in your free time, you can hike, swim on one of the many rivers or lakes around the city or take a trip to another city or town.

Bed in dormitory with other volunteers, 2 meals a day and weekly usage of laundry and other hostel amenities.

Mostar is a beautiful town located in the Hercegovina region. We are blessed with an amazing climate with over 200 sunny days a year, which means most days you can plan something nice. Around the city, there are 5–6 rivers that can be easily reached, and there are at least 4–5 nice hikes. Our capital, Sarajevo, is two and a half hours away, and you can take one of the most beautiful train rides there and back for less than 10 euros. This box is a little too short for all my ideas and recommendations, so come and you won't leave disappointed.

We spoke with Georgia month ago and made clear all the details about volunteering. She messaged 3 times to make sure that she has a spot, and than messaged us to say she won't be coming. I would't suggest such an volunteer for future host.

Couldn't ask for a better volunteer and a friends to give us a hand with the hostel. We had misfortune that one volunteer had to leave and Flavio step in and help us during the 3 weeks. Taso is a great guy and a great host, always wanting to make you feel comfortable. He took us to a football game, to the flea market, he cooked for us.
The help is not hard, just keeping the place clean and helping the guests.
Mostar is a beautiful city, with so many things to do.

Emanuele is one amazing guy. I really enjoyed having him at our hostels. Many common topics and good laugh all the time. I can highly recommend him to other workaway hosts.

Ian was one of the most responsible people that ever volunteered with us. I can only say great things about him. He stayed with us for few weeks and he was really serious regarding tasks in the hostel. Even that he is only 18 he is very mature and responsible for his age and i can only highly recommend him as a volunteer.

With Taso was my first experience in workaway. I stayed more than a month with him and iI had a really good time. In 8 years since we have hostel Lara was one of nicest volunteers we had so far. Everything was always done as requested and that made my life and work really relaxed. Im really thankful for the help she did for us and i can really highly recommended her.

Staying at Taso's was a great experience. The work is easy and laid back, mostly just a bit of cleaning and interacting with the guests. Mostar itself is a great place to stay. This was my first workaway experience and I loved it. Taso is such a friendly and hospitable guy and will go out of his way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The work is not hard and mostly involved you socialising with guests and keeping the place tidy which is easy since it is small and homely. See you next year Taso!
