Friendly couple with 1 dog living on a 180 acre lifestyle block with bush tracks/forest streams. We generate our own power with hydro and solar and have an under ground spring for water. We have chickens and a few cattle. We are 8 kms out of the small town of Thames.

Our valley has nice hiking and a pretty mountain stream with lovely swimming holes. Beyond our valley (30-60mindrive) are some of the most scenic beach and coastal areas in N.Z.

Peter and Anne are both excellent people. They're really kind, welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like home. It was really interesting to talk with them and listen about their travels. Their property is such a pretty place to explore and hike.

Antonio and Lena are fantstic workawayers. Both worked hard at organised tasks around the farm and spontaneously cleaned up the kitchen, cooked and showed initiative. Both have done lots of volunteer work in various countries and various situations. They are an intelligent mature couple who fitted into our household with ease.

Jon has been so helpful. A mature, intelligent chap with real english skills on board. Don't let his age fool you, he works well above his 18 years, he has done digging, chainsawing ,cleaning, gardening, dog washing etc and works well, hard and unsupervised. A great asset for our life style block.

Perfect first experience here. Peter and Ann are very easy going and calm. The place was for me ideal, off grid, surrounded by forest. I had a lot of autonomy in work, that was always varied. The house is lovely, the dogs are lovely, the food is great ! Nothing to say more ! Thanks a lot for your generosity :)

Denis was a big help at our place chopping and stacking fire wood, spraying weeds with organic herbicide , cleaning our house and mowing and pruning flaxes. He has a good work ethic and was slow, methodical and thorough in his tasks , doing a good job,which was what we wanted. He navigated the surrounding tracks well in his down time.

We stay our last week in NZ with Annie and Peter. Was a great week! With a little of hard and fun job but for greats thing in change, like a hot pool in the night or walking to see the Kauri trees or eat a thipical food. Than your dog are so good and fun and your house is in a wanderfull place! So thank you very much!

Had a wonderful stay at peter and Ann's house. Beautiful location in the mountains with lots of hiking trails around. 4 lovely dogs that like to in the mountains as well. Peter and Ann are very nice people and it was a great start of my new Zealand adventure. Thanks

Lukas was excellent. A more positive person would be hard to find. Happy enthusiastic and willing to spend hours working at our place. Great company to, he was a great fit into our family. Bene and Astrid are lovely girls with a great positive attitude. They worked really hard doing lots of different jobs ( cleaning, gardening, babysitting, pet minding and house sitting, and cooking) and fitted into our family easily.
