DEC 2025 update:
***Currently looking for 1-2 folks for December 2025 into spring 2026 to help on earth building with cob, adobe and recycled materials, plaster repair and some easy plant/land projects!!!***
Hello! We’re Katie and Jojo and we’re on several acres in southeast Arizona, outside the lovely town of Bisbee. We’ve been out here 5 years and have been building with cob and restoring plant/animal habitat. Both of us have had great experiences using workaway to travel the US and the world and want to bring that energy here to the land we steward :) We have hosted about a dozen workawayers over the last few years and it’s been a wonderful experience.
We can provide a comfy bed and a small cob building to sleep in, surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife, and have tons of room as well for vanlife/bus/RV. Only a 20 min drive from the charming town of Bisbee. Bisbee is an amazing small town (voted one of America’s most beautiful small towns) with an Old West feel and is full of artists and musicians.
We unfortunately cannot have pets stay with us! (Sensitive wildlife area)

You’ll need your own transport! Not much local buses.
There are lots of cool things to see in the area - the town of Bisbee, which has live music every night, other “old west” towns like Tombstone, Chiricahua national monument, Whitewater Draw (a bird refuge that has sandhill cranes visit in the fall/winter). The city of Tucson and Saguaro National Park are two hours away. If you are continuing to travel around the southwest/us in general, Jojo and I have travelled extensively and will have tons of recommendations of spots to see
