  Hello!
  I am Chiara and I live in a cortijo with a large garden in the countryside of Almería. I am looking for people to help me with my little oasis in dry Andalusia. I live here alone most of the year and apart from my regular work I can't manage to prepare and maintain the garden. That's why I'm looking for open and kind people who would like to live with me for free and can help me in return.
  It would be great if you are already experienced in gardening, as I will not always be present, and you should do the tasks independently after consultation with me. Apart from the garden, I would also like to do some renovation work around the house in the future, for which I need experienced supporters (but I will not start these projects until spring 2025 at the earliest).
  
  About me:
  I emigrated from Germany to Almería in April 2023 and work in a small alternative school in the village. I am 25 years old and currently live alone with my cats in the house my grandparents built 40 years ago. I love the country life here, but I enjoy socializing and going out in the city just as much. I am a rather quiet person, but when I feel comfortable I can talk very much. I like being in nature and love listening to music and dancing.
  I am very happy to welcome guests to my little oasis and to realise projects together. From time to time I have visitors from Germany from friends or family who also stay with me in the house during this time.

  You should be an open and flexible person and have experience in gardening.

  Hallo!
  Ich bin Chiara und wohne in einem Haus mit großem Garten im Hinterland von Almería. Für meine kleine Oase im trockenen Andalusien suche ich helfende Hände. Ich lebe ein Großteil des Jahres alleine hier und neben meiner regulären Arbeit schaffe ich es nicht den Garten herzurichten und instand zuhalten. Deswegen suche ich offene und liebe Menschen, die kostenlos bei mir wohnen möchten und mir im Gegenzug Unterstützung leisten können.
  Es wäre toll, wenn du schon erfahren in der Gartenarbeit bist, da ich nicht immer anwesend sein werde und du die Aufgaben nach Absprache mit mir selbstständig erledigen solltest. Abgesehen von dem Garten möchte ich in Zukunft auch einige Renovierungsarbeiten rund ums Haus angehen, bei denen ich erfahrene Unterstützer*innen benötige (diese Projekte werde ich aber frühestens ab Frühjahr 2025 angehen).
  
  Über mich:
  Ich bin im April 2023 aus Deutschland nach Almería ausgewandert und arbeite in einer kleinen alternativen Schule im Dorf. Ich bin 25 Jahre alt und lebe zurzeit alleine mit meinen Katzen in dem Haus, welches meine Großeltern vor 40 Jahren gebaut haben. Ich liebe das Landleben hier, doch genieße ich es genauso sehr unter Menschen zu sein und Ausflüge in die Stadt zu machen. Ich bin ein eher ruhiger Mensch, aber wenn ich mich wohlfühle, kann ich auch quatschen wie ein Wasserfall. Ich bin gerne in der Natur und liebe es Musik zu hören und zu tanzen.
  Ich freue mich sehr, Gäste in meiner kleinen Oase willkommen zu heißen und gemeinsam Projekte umzusetzen. Ab und zu habe ich Besuch aus Deutschland von Freunden oder Familie, die in der Zeit auch bei mir wohnen.

  Soy Chiara y vivo en un cortijo con un jardín muy grande en el interior de Almería. Busco gente que me ayude con mi pequeño oasis. La mayor parte del año vivo aquí sola y aparte de mi trabajo habitual no consigo preparar y mantener el jardín. Por eso busco gente abierta y amable que quiera vivir conmigo gratuitamente y pueda ayudarme a cambio.
  Sería estupendo si ya tienes experiencia en jardinería, ya que no siempre estaré presente y deberás realizar las tareas de forma independiente. Aparte del jardín, en el futuro también me gustaría abordar algunos trabajos de renovación alrededor de la casa, para lo cual necesito colaboradores con experiencia (pero no abordaré estos proyectos hasta la primavera de 2025 como muy pronto).
  
  Sobre mí:
  Emigré de Alemania a Almería en abril de 2023 y trabajo en una pequeña escuela alternativa del pueblo. Tengo 25 años y actualmente vivo sola con mis gatos en la casa que construyeron mis abuelos hace 40 años. Me encanta la vida en el campo, pero también me gusta estar con gente y salir por la ciudad. Soy una persona bastante tranquila, pero cuando me siento cómoda puedo hablar mucho. Me gusta estar en la naturaleza y me encanta escuchar música y bailar.
  Me encanta recibir visitas en mi pequeño oasis y realizar proyectos juntos. De vez en cuando tengo visitas de amigos o familiares de Alemania que también se quedan conmigo durante este tiempo.

  Work in garden:
  - Tidying up the garden (removing weeds, cutting trees, removing dried plants)

  Renovation work (from spring 2025)
  
  You will probably work alone most of the time, or in pairs if you come as a couple, as I work during the week. In the afternoon or on weekends, there is the possibility that we will work together on projects.
  The work can be done flexibly according to your own schedule. You should know that this is the first time I'm offering workaway and I haven't completely organised your tasks. So it may be that you have less to do on some days and more on others. As I am a somewhat chaotic and disorganised person, you should be flexible and independent in this respect. At the beginning of your stay, we can sit down together and organise your tasks according to your interests.

  Ich suche hauptsächlich Hilfe für den Garten. Bei Bedarf können auch schonmal kleinere Arbeiten im und ums Haus anfallen.
  
  Aufgaben im Garten:
  - Garten aufräumen (Unkraut beseitigen, Bäume schneiden, vertrocknete Pflanzen entfernen)
  - neu Bepflanzung und Gestaltung von einigen Bereichen im Garten
  - kleine kreative Bauprojekte
  - Anpflanzen und Pflegen von Beeten
  
  Wer Lust hat, darf mich auch im Haushalt oder beim Kochen unterstützen.
  
  Renovierungsarbeiten (ab Frühjahr 2025)
  
  Du arbeitest wahrscheinlich die meiste Zeit alleine oder wenn ihr zu zweit kommt zu zweit, da ich unter der Woche arbeiten bin. Am Nachmittag oder an Wochenenden besteht die Möglichkeit, dass wir gemeinsame Projekte angehen.
  Die Arbeiten können flexibel nach deinem eigenen Zeitplan durchgeführt werden. Du solltest wissen, dass ich zum ersten Mal Workaway anbiete und ich deine Aufgaben nicht komplett durchorganisiert habe. Es kann also auch mal sein, dass du an einigen Tagen weniger zu tun hast und an anderen mehr. Da ich ein etwas chaotischer und unorganisierter Mensch bin, solltest du dahingehend Flexibilität beziehungsweise Selbstständigkeit mitbringen. Am Anfang deines Aufenthalts können wir uns zusammensetzten und gemeinsam nach deinen Interessen deine Aufgaben organisieren.

  Trabajos de renovación (a partir de la primavera de 2025)
  
  Probablemente, trabajarás solo la mayor parte del tiempo, o en parejas si vienes en pareja, ya que trabajo durante la semana. Por la tarde o los fines de semana, existe la posibilidad de que hagamos proyectos juntos.
  El trabajo puede realizarse de forma flexible según tu propio horario. Debes saber que es la primera vez que ofrezco workaway y no he organizado completamente las tareas. Así que puede que algunos días tengas menos que hacer y otros más. Como soy una persona algo caótica y desorganizada, deberás ser flexible e independiente en este sentido. Al principio de tu visita, podemos sentarnos juntos y organizar tus tareas de manera que se ajusten a tus intereses.

  About the house and garden:
  You will either sleep in a small guest flat or in a separate room in my flat (if the guest flat is occupied). The guest flat consists of a bedroom, a living room, a private bathroom and a large terrace. The bedroom is newly renovated, and the living room is still being renovated. This can still be used, but is not in the best condition. There is currently no kitchen in the flat, but you can use my kitchen at any time. If you feel like it, I would be happy to cook and eat together from time to time. However, as I am often away from home, you are primarily responsible for your own meals. We can do the food shopping together, or you can write me a shopping list and I will bring you the food.
  Both the guest flat and the guest room are not heated and can get a little cold in the winter months. Thick blankets are provided. However, you should bring thick clothing (preferably slippers or thick socks) in winter. There is a wood-burning stove in my flat, so you are of course welcome to enjoy the warmth of the stove in the living room in the evening.
  
  You are also welcome to come with your camper and choose a nice spot in my garden.
  
  The house is 15 minutes by car from Almería and 20 minutes from the beach. The area is rural and there are only a few buses a day that go to Almería. The bus stop is about 15-20 minutes walk away. The village of Pechina and the nearest supermarket can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. On your arrival, I can also arrange to pick you up at the train station or Almería airport. I can provide you with a bicycle if required.
  
  The guests are responsible for their own food, as I will not be at home for every meal for work reasons. If necessary, I can do the shopping for the guests together with my shopping. A kitchen with all the necessary utensils is available. If I am at home and the guests wish, I am happy to cook and eat together with my guests.

  Zum Haus und Garten:
  Du schläfst entweder in einer kleinen Gästewohnung oder in einem separaten Zimmer in meiner Wohnung (wenn die Gästewohnung belegt ist). Die Gästewohnung, besteht aus einem Schlafzimmer, einem Wohnzimmer, einem eigenen Bad und einer großen Terrasse. Das Schlafzimmer ist frisch renoviert und das Wohnzimmer ist noch in der Renovierung. Dieses kann trotzdem genutzt werden, ist allerdings nicht im schönsten Zustand. Eine Küche ist zurzeit in der Wohnung nicht vorhanden, aber dir steht jederzeit meine Küche zur Verfügung. Wenn du Lust hast, freue ich mich ab und zu gemeinsam zu kochen und zu essen. Da ich aber häufig unterwegs bin, bist du in erster Linie selbst für deine Verpflegung verantwortlich. Einkäufe können wir gemeinsam erledigen oder du schreibst mir eine Einkaufsliste und ich bringe dir die Einkäufe mit.
  Sowohl die Gästewohnung als auch das Gästezimmer sind nicht beheizt und in den Wintermonaten kann es dort etwas kalt werden. Dicke Bettdecken sind vorhanden. Dennoch solltest du dir im Winter dicke Kleidung (am besten auch Hausschuhe oder dicke Socken) mitbringen. Bei mir in der Wohnung gibt es einen Holzofen, du bist natürlich eingeladen am Abend im Wohnzimmer die Wärme am Ofen zu genießen.
  
  Du kannst auch gerne mit deinem Camper kommen und dir einen schönen Stellplatz in meinem Garten aussuchen.
  
  Das Haus liegt 15 Minuten mit dem Auto von Almería entfernt und 20 Minuten vom Strand. Die Gegend ist ländlich und es gibt nur wenige Busse am Tag, die nach Almería fahren. Die Bushaltestelle ist ca. 15-20 Gehminuten entfernt. Das Dorf Pechina und der nächste Supermarkt sind zu Fuß in 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Bei deiner Ankunft kann ich dich nach Absprache auch am Bahnhof oder am Flughafen Almería abholen. Ich kann dir bei Bedarf ein Fahrrad zur Verfügung stellen.
  
  Für die Verpflegung der Gäste ist selbst gesorgt, da ich aus beruflichen Gründen nicht zu jeder Mahlzeit zu Hause sein werde. Bei Bedarf kann ich zusammen mit meinem Einkauf auch den Einkauf für die Gäste übernehmen. Eine Küche mit allen notwendigen Utensilien ist vorhanden. Wenn ich zu Hause bin und die Gäste es wünschen, koche und esse ich gerne gemeinsam mit meinen Gästen.

  Sobre la casa y el jardín:
  Dormirás en un pequeño piso de invitados o en una habitación separada en mi piso (si el piso de invitados está ocupado). El piso de invitados consta de un dormitorio, un salón, un cuarto de baño privado y una gran terraza. El dormitorio está recién renovado y el salón aún se está renovando. Todavía se puede utilizar, pero no está en las mejores condiciones. Actualmente no hay cocina en el piso, pero puedes utilizar mi cocina en cualquier momento. Si te apetece, estaré encantada de cocinar y comer juntos de vez en cuando. Sin embargo, como a menudo estoy fuera de casa, tú eres el principal responsable de tus propias comidas. Podemos hacer la compra juntos o puedes escribirme una lista de la compra y yo te la traeré.
  Tanto el piso de invitados como la habitación de invitados no tienen calefacción y puede hacer un poco de frío en los meses de invierno. Se proporcionan mantas gruesas. No obstante, en invierno conviene traer ropa gruesa (preferiblemente zapatillas o calcetines gruesos). En mi piso hay una estufa de leña, así que, por supuesto, te invito a disfrutar del calor de la estufa en el salón por la noche.
  
  También puedes venir con tu caravana y elegir una bonita parcela en mi jardín.
  
  La casa está a 15 minutos en coche de Almería y a 20 minutos de la playa. La zona es rural y sólo hay unos pocos autobuses al día que van a Almería. La parada de autobús está a unos 15-20 minutos andando. Al pueblo de Pechina y al supermercado más cercano se llega andando en 20 minutos. A tu llegada, también puedo encargarme de recogerte en la estación de tren o en el aeropuerto de Almería. Si lo deseas, puedo poner a tu disposición una bicicleta.
  
  Los huéspedes son responsables de su propia alimentación, ya que no estaré en casa para todas las comidas por motivos de trabajo. Si es necesario, puedo hacer las compras para los huéspedes junto con las mías. Hay una cocina con todos los utensilios necesarios. Si estoy en casa y los huéspedes lo desean, estoy encantada de cocinar y comer junto con ellos.

  The house is located in a quiet, somewhat remote area, so you should bring something to keep you occupied so that it doesn't get boring. There is a farm next to our property where school classes or children's birthday parties often visit and it can get a bit noisy.
  
  In your free time, you can explore the city of Almería or the beautiful Cabo de Gata National Park. There is the possibility that we can go on excursions together at the weekends and I can show you some of the surrounding area.

  Das Grundstück liegt in einer ruhigen, etwas abgelegenen Gegend, von daher solltest du dir bei Bedarf noch etwas zum Beschäftigen mitbringen, damit es nicht langweilig wird. Neben unserem Grundstück befindet sich eine Farm, bei der öfter Schulklassen oder Kindergeburtstage zu Besuch sind und es schonmal etwas lauter wird.
  
  In deiner Freizeit kannst du die Stadt Almería erkunden oder den wunderschönen Nationalpark Cabo de Gata. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, dass wir an den Wochenenden gemeinsame Ausflüge machen und ich dir etwas von der Umgebung zeige.

  La casa está situada en una zona tranquila y algo apartada, por lo que debería traer algo para mantenerse ocupado y no aburrirse. Hay una granja al lado de nuestra propiedad donde las clases de la escuela o fiestas de cumpleaños de los niños a menudo visitan y puede ser un poco ruidoso.
  
  En tu tiempo libre, puede explorar la ciudad de Almería o el hermoso Parque Nacional de Cabo de Gata. Existe la posibilidad de que podamos ir de excursión juntos los fines de semana y puedo mostrarte algunos de los alrededores.
