  We are Anica and Lukas, a small family living together with our little daughter and our cat, Marley. We both have jobs – Lukas is a teacher and Anica works as a social worker. We enjoy sharing our home and everyday life with people from different places and cultures.
  
  From time to time, we are simply looking for an extra pair of hands to help us with things around the house and the garden . We are a private household, not a business or commercial project, and the help we are looking for is purely to make our everyday family life a little easier.
  
  We live in the Franconian Lake District, in a small village, in a beautiful historic half-timbered house with a garden. There is always a project waiting for us: restoring and maintaining our old house, woodworking, all kinds of DIY projects, and gradually shaping our property into our dream place. At the same time, we are passionate about permaculture, growing our own food, preserving harvests, making homemade drinks, and constantly learning and trying new things. Life here is never boring.
  
  Community is very important to us. Our home is a place where friends, family often gather to share meals, stories, and memorable moments.
  
  We are open-minded, curious, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. When you stay with us, you’re not just a guest—you become part of our little bubble, a network of friendships that now stretches across Europe. //
  
  Wir sind Anica und Lukas – zusammen mit unserer kleinen Tochter und unserer Katze Marley bilden wir unsere kleine Familie.
  
  Zu Hause sind wir im fränkischen Seenland, in einem kleinen Dorf, in einem liebevoll erhaltenen, denkmalgeschützten Fachwerkhaus mit Garten. Rund um unser Zuhause gibt es immer etwas zu tun: Wir restaurieren und erhalten unser altes Haus, arbeiten gerne mit Holz, verwirklichen verschiedenste DIY-Projekte und gestalten unser Grundstück Schritt für Schritt nach unseren Vorstellungen. Gleichzeitig beschäftigen wir uns viel mit Permakultur, bauen eigenes Gemüse an, machen Lebensmittel haltbar, stellen unsere eigenen Getränke her und probieren ständig neue Ideen aus. Langweilig wird es bei uns nie.
  
  Gemeinschaft bedeutet uns sehr viel. Unser Zuhause ist ein Ort, an dem regelmäßig Freunde und Familie zusammenkommen. Wir lieben den Austausch, gute Gespräche und gemeinsame Erlebnisse.
  
  Wir sind offen, neugierig und freuen uns immer darauf, neue Menschen aus aller Welt kennenzulernen. Wenn du bei uns bist, bist du nicht einfach nur zu Besuch – wir nehmen dich gerne in unsere kleine Bubble auf, deren Freundschaften sich mittlerweile über ganz Europa verteilen.

  We both speak English, Lukas is fluent in Spanish, and Anica speaks a little Spanish too.
  
  Lukas is passionate about everything related to food and drinks. Thanks to his many years of experience in hospitality, he loves sharing his knowledge about cooking, wine, beer, and local food culture with others.
  
  Anica loves planning, connecting people, being creative, painting, crafting, and exploring what feels like a thousand different hobbies—you’re almost guaranteed to find one that you’ll enjoy too!
  
  We love climbing, spending time outdoors with friends, traveling in our camper van, and going to concerts. We are often on the move, and you’re always welcome to join us on our adventures if you’d like.
  
  We also enjoy sharing our knowledge about nature. During your stay, you can learn about wild herbs, mushrooms, local wildlife, fishing, and many other aspects of living close to nature. //
  
  
  Wir sprechen beide Englisch. Lukas spricht außerdem fließend Spanisch und Anica ein bisschen.
  
  Lukas begeistert sich für alles, was mit Essen und Trinken zu tun hat. Durch seine langjährige Erfahrung in der Gastronomie kann er viel über Kochen, Wein, Bier und regionale Genusskultur vermitteln – und teilt dieses Wissen sehr gerne mit anderen.
  
  Anica liebt es zu planen, Menschen zu vernetzen und kreativ zu sein. Sie malt, bastelt und hat gefühlt tausend verschiedene Hobbys – da ist bestimmt auch etwas dabei, das dich begeistert!
  
  Wir gehen gerne klettern, verbringen viel Zeit mit Freunden in der Natur, sind mit unserem Bus unterwegs und besuchen regelmäßig Konzerte. Wir unternehmen viel und freuen uns immer, wenn unsere Workawayer Lust haben, uns dabei zu begleiten.
  
  Außerdem können wir dir viel über die Natur zeigen und beibringen – von Wildkräutern und Pilzen über Tiere und Fische bis hin zu einem nachhaltigen Leben im Einklang mit der Natur.

  We are a small family living on an old property with a garden, always full of ideas. We love doing everything DIY—from renovating our home to making our own wine. Our goal is to transform our homestead step by step according to permaculture principles.
  
  Since Anica is currently busy caring for our baby daughter, we are looking for an extra pair of hands with projects around the house and garden, as well as general household chores. Cultural exchange and spending time together are very important to us. A central part of our day is a freshly prepared meal cooked with love. If you’d like to learn from an experienced cook, Lukas would love a helping hand in the kitchen! //
  
  Wir sind eine kleine Familie mit einem alten Hof, einem Garten und ganz viel Platz für Ideen. Bei uns wird fast alles in Eigenleistung umgesetzt: Von Arbeiten am Haus bis hin zur eigenen Weinherstellung. Unser Ziel ist es, den Hof Schritt für Schritt nach den Prinzipien der Permakultur zu gestalten.
  
  Da Anica zurzeit vor allem für unsere kleine Tochter da ist, freuen wir uns über eine unterstützende Hand bei Haus- und Gartenprojekten sowie im Haushalt. Der kulturelle Austausch ist uns besonders wichtig! Ein festes Ritual ist eine ausgiebige, frisch zubereitete Mahlzeit am Tag, die wir mit viel Liebe kochen.
  Wenn du von einem sehr erfahrenen Koch lernen willst, freut sich Lukas auch in der Küche über Hilfe!

  You’ll have your own spacious and beautiful maisonette room with plenty of privacy, as well as a private bathroom.
  
  We care a lot about the food we eat and mainly buy organic, locally sourced ingredients. We cook fresh meals almost every day and are happy to accommodate different dietary preferences and needs whenever possible.
  
  Sharing at least one meal a day together is important to us. It’s a great opportunity to relax, exchange stories, and enjoy good food in good company. //
  
  Dir steht ein wunderschönes, großzügiges Maisonette-Zimmer mit viel Platz sowie ein eigenes Badezimmer zur Verfügung – so hast du genügend Privatsphäre und kannst dich wie zu Hause fühlen.
  
  Beim Essen legen wir großen Wert auf Qualität. Wir kaufen möglichst regional und in Bio-Qualität und kochen fast jeden Tag frisch. Auf verschiedene Ernährungsweisen oder Unverträglichkeiten nehmen wir selbstverständlich gerne Rücksicht.
  
  Mindestens einmal am Tag essen wir gemeinsam. Diese gemeinsame Zeit ist uns wichtig – sie gehört für uns genauso zum Miteinander wie die Arbeit und bietet die Gelegenheit für gute Gespräche und gemütliches Beisammensein.

  The Franconian Lake District is right on our doorstep and offers endless opportunities to enjoy nature and the outdoors. You can go sailing, wakeboarding, kitesurfing, swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply relax by one of the many lakes.
  
  If you enjoy history and culture, you’ll love the region. There are charming medieval towns, castles, and plenty of local festivals to explore. The historic city of Nuremberg is just a short trip away, and Munich is also easy to reach for concerts, sightseeing, or a weekend adventure. //
  
  If you’re more into outdoor activities, you’ll find beautiful hiking trails, excellent climbing spots, and countless places to explore in nature.
  
  Das Fränkische Seenland liegt praktisch direkt vor unserer Haustür und bietet unzählige Möglichkeiten für Freizeit und Natur. Hier kannst du segeln, Wakeboard fahren, kiten, Boot fahren, schwimmen, Stand-up-Paddling oder Kajak fahren – oder einfach die Zeit an einem der vielen Seen genießen.
  
  Auch kulturell hat die Region viel zu bieten: historische Städte, Burgen, Feste und zahlreiche Ausflugsziele. Das wunderschöne Nürnberg ist ganz in der Nähe und auch München ist gut erreichbar – perfekt für Konzerte, Sightseeing oder einen Tagesausflug.
  
  Wenn du gerne aktiv bist, findest du außerdem tolle Wanderwege, Klettergebiete und viele Möglichkeiten, die fränkische Natur zu entdecken. Hier ist eigentlich für jeden etwas dabei.
