Hello! My partner Emmett and I (Lily) own a small winery located in Patagonia, Arizona. This year will be our fourth year making wine at our sweet winery. We love our space and tiny town that encompasses it! Patagonia is located about 12 miles from the US/Mexico border and is one of the biological hotspots of the entire country.
Emmett has been making wine for 10 years all over the world including Bordeaux, Rias Baixas, Mendoza, and Arizona. I started making wine in 2021 when we made our first vintage. We love meeting new people, pretty much all food experiences, and wandering around the Sky Islands looking for wildflowers!
We have both traveled around the globe and sought after work experiences like this! All our time wandering has landed us here ready to provide the same transformative experience for someone else.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Honestly as I previously mentioned, this position is how both Emmett and I learned how to make wine. If you are curious whether or not this could become a passion or career for you, this is a great way to find out. You would have a role in every single part of the process and we think that's the best way to learn the art!
I have lived in Arizona for most of my life so I'm very well versed in the country and can guide you towards some very cool, Arizona-unique experiences!
When not deep in winery work, I have a background in ecological restoration so I can teach you about a lot of our local flora & fauna. Emmett is fluent in French, Spanish and English, so he could chat with you in any of those languages! We are both great cooks and ran a restaurant for a while, and would be happy to impart any of that knowledge as well.Proyectos con niños

Ayuda
We are looking for help with our 2024 grape harvest during the months of August & September. We are very DIY with a small basket press and no forklift. We need someone to help with all winery work including but not limited to foot stomping & pitchforking grapes, driving fruit to & from the vineyards, cleaning winery equipment, and many other winery making tasks. It is physical work. You tend to leave very tired but also very satisfied!
Making wine includes early mornings & late nights, but a whole lot of fun in the middle! We would be able to provide a room in our house and meals. This will be our fourth harvest and we are dedicated to creating a wonderful harvest culture that will include lots of yummy food, wine, and laughs after a long day of hard work. If you've ever been interested or curious about making wine, this is a great opportunity to learn. This position is how both Emmett and I started learning how to make wine!
This is a paid position of at least US federal minimum wage of $7.25/hr. Please reach out if interested so we can provide more detail!Idiomas hablados

Accommodation includes a room in the house on the property we live. It's a four bedroom house with three other roommates - all very cool people in their 20s & 30s. You have access to a shared bathroom, laundry, and a shared kitchen. We live in a tiny house on the same property with our own auxiliary kitchen but are just right next door should you need something :)
Algo más...
On your downtime, you can go hiking along the Arizona Trail, kayak on Patagonia Lake, explore Nogales, grab a beer at one of our local watering holes, go to the wineries, stargaze (amazing stars out here!), generally have fun!
August and September also coincide with our monsoon season, so we get very dramatic summer rainstorms that are truly magical. You can watch Arizona green up and look like the hills of Ireland - at least for a few weeks!
The house is walking distance to pretty much everything in town and you can access hiking trails straight from the backyard. We don't have much other public transport but could lend you a car if you needed to borrow one.Un poco más de información
