Descripción
We are a Buddhist couple caring for more than 5 hectares of forest on the Sapphire Coast of NSW, in Wapengo, between Bermagui and Tathra. Our land is surrounded by a beautiful coastal landscape and framed by two sacred Yuin mountains.
We are growing large indigenous trees and caring for the land through permaculture, with a long-term focus on nature, biodiversity and sustainable living.
We both come from performing arts backgrounds and have extensive connections with the local arts and wider community. We enjoy a peaceful, creative life and have a deep interest in nature, local flora and fauna, and the unique character of this part of the coast.
We would love to meet like-minded people who enjoy being outdoors, learning new skills and contributing to a long-term project. We hope to share our knowledge, learn from others and enjoy the experience of living and working together in this beautiful part of the world. -

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
Travellers can learn about Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as arboriculture and the care of trees. There are also opportunities to gain practical experience in general hobby-farm and property work, including the use of tractors and other equipment.
We live in an amazing part of the Sapphire Coast, with opportunities for surfing, swimming, exploring nature and attending local events. Through our connections in the local arts and community, we can also point interested travellers towards music, performances, festivals and other cultural events happening in the area.
The region has a strong music and arts community, along with yoga and other spiritual pursuits, so there is plenty to explore beyond the property.
Most importantly, we see cultural exchange as a two-way experience. We enjoy sharing what we know and discovering the skills, interests, cultures and experiences that travellers bring with them. -

Algo más...
We are lucky to live in a beautiful and relatively unspoilt part of the Sapphire Coast, surrounded by forest, beaches, lakes and ocean. Wapengo is a wonderful base for exploring — swim, surf, walk, kayak, fish, watch wildlife or simply find a quiet place to sit and enjoy the landscape. Mimosa Rocks National Park and the coastal roads between Bermagui and Tathra offer plenty to discover.
Bermagui and Tathra are both close by, and there is a great local community with music, arts, markets, festivals and other events. Through our connections in the local arts and community, we can help you find something interesting happening while you're here.
The property is rural and not on a bus route, but this doesn't mean you have to stay at home. If you have a full driver's licence, there is a vehicle available for personal use by arrangement. We can also take you to a local transport hub when needed.
For us, one of the great things about living here is the combination of beautiful country, a relaxed lifestyle and a lively local community. We hope our visitors have time to explore, make their own discoveries and enjoy the area as much as we do.
We don't smoke and ask that our home remains smoke-free. -
