Hey people out there!
We are an intentional community exploring topics around art, sustainable living and the power of our hands: handcraft, building and bodywork. 7 humans founded this community, now we are 12 adults and 8 kids living in two houses in the middle of a beautiful pine tree forest.
We found the land and bought it in 2020. The following year we put a lot of work into the renovation of this 100 year old building. Now we reduced the speed of our renovation, a new child was born here and we put some effort into the design of our outdoor area. The outdoor area consists of some wood sheds, a compost toilet, a trailer and a former chapel which is now our seminar room. Oh and a vegetable garden and a 6 ha forest. This year we have many amazing projects in our pipe line which we want to manifest mainly in the warm months of Jun/Jul/Aug. Around those months we are also looking for someone who can support us with childcare and cooking (more details in the task description).
So we are looking for likeminded souls who like to spend around 1-4 weeks in our project. Workaway has been a beautiful opportunity for us and we are extremely grateful for all the help that has reached us.
We are based in the country side, 1 hour away of Vienna, in a very friendly and open-minded village. Nature is great here, and very mystical. See you!

At the moment we are looking for someone who can help with taking care of our kids. We live with 4 families in one house, so there are quite some kids running around needing attention :) the kids are 6 months, 1, 1, 3, 3, 4, 7 years old and a nice little group already. they are happy to play outside in the forest a lot. best would be if you speak german, but if not we can also manage somehow since two of the kids speak english.
Also we would need someone who can cook meals for the community once a day (best would be lunch).
*** PLAN FOR MAY-AUG 2024 ***
During the warmer months primarily we are looking for help in the following projects and tasks:
- building a round house with timber wood from our forest (peeling trunks, cutting wood, carrying wood, constructing, ...)
- building a little tiny house (mainly the interior part is left to be done: insulation, floor, clay walls, windows, second floor bed, kitchen, ...)
- building up our jurt (constructing the platform, building up the whole structure, ...)
- cooking meals for the community while many of us are working on projects outside
There are a lot more tasks that we would need help with:
- small necessary repairments in the infrastructure of our buildings
- planting vegetables in the garden or taking care of the outside areas in general
- cutting wood

Depending on the situation you will sleep in a big tent (jurt style), a tent or in our community house.
Most probably you will have your own room, and have lunch with us every day.
