I have had a wonderful two weeks with Sofia and her lovely kids. It is such a pleasure to stay with Sofia; she is an amazing mom and host, considerable and hospitable. … read more family member and had chances to meet a lot of friends, neighbors, and family members who were all so nice to me. I also got to know a lot of Swedish culture, customs, and skills. The kids are also very sweet and nice to me, always want to share the best thing of theirs (candies!) with me. We always enjoy the time to play with each other after school!

I stayed almost three weeks with Sofia and her three lovely children during this summer and what shall I say.. it's been such a great experience! They warmly welcomed me and I felt like a family member straight away. Talking about my tasks I was either helping out in the garden (doing some weeding, preparing the beds, choping some fire wood),
… read more taking care of the animals or helping around in the house (mainly cooking and cleaning). Apart from that my time there was also filled with many fun activities (lots of trampoline jumping or having a great time on our self-built waterslide in the garden). I also got to walk Alfred, Sofias lovely dog, so many times! :) There was plenty of time to explore the surroundings like the nearby forests and cities. I can definitely recommend visiting Alingsås, such a pretty small town with a lot of cafés! Personally I got along so well with Sofia, that's why we sometimes ended up talking in her kitchen for hours even if she's been quite busy. But she's undoubtedly a great person to talk toI Sofia was also incredibly supportive as I had some health issues going on during the period of my stay, I'm still incredibly thankful for her help. All in all I can definitely recommend Sofia as a host, especially if you do enjoy spending some time on the countryside but at the same time also don't mind having lively children around.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I spent 3 weeks with Sofia, Robbin and the kids. It was a fabulous experience. I really loved to live in their beautiful house in the middle of the forest, it was very peaceful and quiet. A beautiful lake is close to the house, a perfect place to run or to chill. I liked to spend most of my time with the children, I really got attached to them.
… read more Sofia made me feel comfortable from the beginning. It was a pleasure to help her in daily tasks and for cooking.
I liked to have a place to sleep in the garden it was perfect to have some intimacy. I am just a little disappointed not to have been able to discover more the surroundings because of the covid.
About the relationship with the family, I felt close to Sofia since the first day, for the kids it tooks a little more time for them to feel comfortable with me but once they knowed me we were close. About Robbin, he was very welcoming and nice with me, but sometimes he can have some words, jokes or actions that can make you feel uncomfortable, but nothing malware. And don't be shocked by his nudity or that of the children, it is normal in the Swedish culture.
Finally, I have good memories of this experience, I learned a lot about me, the others and the swedish culture. So I'm grateful to Sofia and Robbin for their hospitality. I hope to see them again once.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I'm 7 months late with my note sorry...but those days seemed to be just yesterday... :) This family was my shelter during the first quarantine time when I didn't have opportunity to go home to my country. … read more helpful, nice and patient they made my first workaway trip easy and perfect. I helped a lot but I didn't feel I'm working. The nature around the house is absolutely breathtaking! I loved to take smaller or longer walks...sometimes with Alfred, the cutie dog they have. The kids are funny they also accepted me as a friend I think. :)
So I totally agree with Lea, who also became my friend :)
I would go back any time and I really hope that we will meet again soon!

Strangers became friends!
We planned to stay for a week and ended up staying for over a month. Sofia and Robbin made us feel at home and opened not only their Home but their hearts for us. The kids are the cutest and always a joy to have around.
We could always choose the work we wanted to do and had a lot of freedom.
