  We are a Surf & Yoga Retreat with a calm & tropical environment, located on the beautiful South Coast of Sri Lanka in Weligama. Here, people from all around the world come together, laugh with new friends and find their home away from home.
  We are looking for lovely volunteer team members, that can either be a yoga instructor or be part of our surf team, that is willing to help around where needed.
  Our 10 local staff are taking over kitchen and room works, as well as the management of the place. They will help you for any question you have during your stay with us.

  Our lives revolve around the ocean. It’s the most beautiful place to be, and is incredibly important to us, as well as being a vital part of the local community. Many of the local families rely on fishing and maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Therefore, it only makes sense for us to honor that space and to protect it as well as we can, both for ourselves and for everyone that lives here.
  In our community dinners we not only show you foods that you already know, but most importantly let you be a part of the Sri Lankan culture and let you taste the best of our local cuisine.

  Depending on your profession or what you are good at, we have plenty of different responsibilities for you. Most important for us is that you like to talk to new people and help them around with everything regarding our place or take a part in our activities.
  A volunteer must speak fluent English to properly communicate with our guests.
  
  All in all we have following responsibilities for your kind of talent:
  1) Yoga instructor:
  - For this opportunity we need you to be a certified yoga instructor and have some experience in that already
  - Teach 6 times a week mostly 1 lesson per day in the afternoon
  - Plan & Prepare each class
  - Take care of our yoga rooftop, maintain mats & other equipment and set up the place for your class
  - Welcome our guests at the reception, introduce new guests to the place
  
  2) Helping in our Surf Team
  - You are a experienced surfer or certified surf instructor, then this opportunity will suit you well.
  - Managing the Surf Schedule
  - Be a part of the video analysis: give feedback or be on the spot with the students and take the videos
  - Involve in pool sessions and surf theory lessons
  - Take your own part in our evening activities
  
  As serious as this sounds, the most important part for us is, that you have fun in everything you do.
  
  All of our volunteers will get:

  - If you are keen to learn surfing, you can also join our classes without charges
  - Free entrance to the party places we attend
  - Get to know Sri Lankas South Coast, its people & culture

  You will mostly be accommodated in a shared room with other volunteer workers (max. room of 4), with a private, ensuite bathroom.

  In your free time you can go surfing with us, take a yoga lesson or explore the South Coast. We not only have beautiful beaches all around but also a lot of cultural sightseeing near by. You can visit impressive temples, make a lake boats tour, see old cities or drive around through beautiful rice fields and jungle areas.
