Bonjour, I am Sarah-Jane. I am French "originaire" from Bordeaux but a globe trotteur. I have been travelling around the world and still go on vacation whenever I can. I worked in some of the countries (Germany, USA, Venezuela, South Africa). I always came back "richer".
But as well I'd be happy to welcome people from other countries at home to exchange experiences, ideas and get some help for my house.
I have my own business (renting medical Equipment) so I can be busy sometimes.
I am interested in meeting open minded people with international expériences.

The workawayers who came benefited from an extremely rich exchange. Languages spoken and explanations, typical French cuisine and cooking classes, tourist outings, varied cultural outings, sports outings, local meetings.

I have started with workaway in June 2013 and I am very happy with the experience.
The person can stay one week maximum...
I would like somebody who can help in my house in Saint Denis de Pile for renovation or maintenance...
I will ask around 20 hours a week (5 days work - 2 days off) and we share experiences for work and normaly won't start the tasks before 10 am. The hours can be flexible.
My house is typical stone house from this region.
It is 200m2 in the country with a garden

Alojamiento
You will have a private bedroom and shared bathroom.
During the helping days I will provide you breakfast and lunch, simple meals but home made. No diner.
But you will have a place to store your own food (fruits, cookies, drinks...)
I have wifi.

I believe you will enjoy these 2 places.
Bordeaux belongs to the Unesco World heritage but is also famous worldwide for it's vyniards and has beautifull beaches 50 km away.
My house is 10 min biking from downtown and the famous monuments (Pont de Pierre, Place de la Bourse, etc) but as well 10 min biking from parks, lakes, green places.
Saint Denis is in the middle of famous vyniards places. You can enjoy the country side but with access to free buses to go around.
I will be more than happy to tell you what to do during your stay and if I have time to take you out to famous places/monuments, local places like markets, concerts, hiking trails.
On your days off you can take a bus to the ocean or to famous vinyards and Unesco Saint Emilion.
And you'll probably discover much more!

I first hesitated to welcome him since he was young and I needed somebody with experience and technical skills for the renovation. I also had to work some to help him with his visa. But I don't regret at all!
He works very well, is self motivated, goal oriented, understands very well what is needed, takes… read more
He helped me a lot in the renovation (sanding, plastering, painting, repairing a roof terrasse). He really has technical building skills and we were working together as a team.
