We are a german family of five living in Iceland on a farm on beautiful Snæfellsnes, roughly 90 min drive from Reykjavík. On the farm live also fourteen horses and Babba, our icelandic sheepdog. As we parents are both working full time, we need somebody supporting us looking after the children (8, 11 and 14) and for light household tasks for ca. 5 hours during weekdays. Weekends and bank holidays are free. In the season (March-October) the horses would also appreciate some more exercise, if that somebody is interested. We have some very good riding paths through stunning nature right on farm 😊
You will have your own room. As we live fairly remote a driving licence together with at least two years driving experience will be required.

We need mainly someone to drive the kids to school and pick them up again and look after them for two hours after school finishes, like playing with them, taking them (and the dog 😅) out for walk, go horseback riding with them and so on. Sometimes they need to be taken to or picked up from past time activities or friends which can occasionally be later in the evening.

You will live on farm having your own room. Meals can be taken together with the family or privately, as wished.

You will have a car at your disposal at weekends and can use it to explore the immediate area which offers exiting places like the Snæfellsjökull National Park, the Kirkjufell or beautiful Stykkishólmur 🥰

Fast (glas fibre) internet available. The kids are usually at school in the mornings. This time can well be used to work online. So far we had one work away writing her master thesis here and another working as a programmer on the side.
