Hello you out there,
We are a family of 4 (51,32,6,2) and have built a life in western Hungary. Here we found what we were looking for --> a life in and with nature!
The approx. 300m² vegetable garden provides us with all kinds of delicacies from April to December. And we should also have fresh things in winter in the future, although we can still learn a few things about winter gardening first. We are on our way ;-)
However, complete self-sufficiency is not our goal. We are realistic that, for example, the cultivation of grain and the subsequent processing is far too much effort for us. Even our beloved cheese will not lead to cows or goats. And so it feels pretty consistent for us to buy grain products and cheese....
We built our house and other buildings ourselves out of clay, straw, wood and the like. We can work together on this buldings, make it more pretty and we are happy to give our knowledge about wood and clay work to you.
We live near the village of Nemessándorháza, in the hilly countryside of western Hungary. Austria is about 1.5 hours away, Lake Balaton (Balaton) about 1 hour. Many, mostly German-speaking, families have settled in the neighborhood, who, like us, lead a life close to nature.
For us it is incredibly valuable that we have people around us with whom we exchange ideas, with whom we enjoy, celebrate and learn. And for our son it is of course even more important.... :-)

Hallo ihr da draußen, 🥰
Wir sind eine 4-köpfige Familie (51, 32, 6, 2) und haben uns ein Leben in Westungarn aufgebaut. Hier haben wir gefunden, was wir gesucht haben --> ein Leben in und mit der Natur!
Der ca.300m² große Gemüsegarten versorgt uns von April bis Dezember mit allerlei Köstlichkeiten. Und auch im Winter soll es bei uns in Zukunft Frisches geben, allerdings dürfen wir erstmal noch einiges über die Wintergärtnerei lernen. Wir sind auf dem Weg ;-)
Eine völlige Selbstversorgung ist jedoch nicht unser Ziel. Wir sind realistisch, dass uns beispielsweise der Getreideanbau und die anschließende Verarbeitung viel zu viel Aufwand ist. Auch unser heiß geliebte Käse wird nicht zur Kuh- bzw. Ziegenhaltung führen. Und so fühlt es sich für uns auch ziemlich stimmig an, Getreideprodukte und Käse zu kaufen....
Unser Haus, sowie weitere Gebäude haben wir selbst aus Lehm, Stroh, Holz & Co gebaut. Gerne bauen wir mit euch zusammen weiter an unseren Bauten, verfeinern, verschönern und geben unser Wissen wund um Holz- und Lehmbau an euch weiter!
Wir leben nahe dem Dorf Nemessándorháza, in der hügeligen Landschaft Westungarns. Österreich ist etwa 1,5h entfernt, der Plattensee (Balaton) etwa 1h. In der Nachbarschaft haben sich viele, meist deutschsprachige, Familien angesiedeltt, die wie wir ein naturnahes Leben führen.
Für uns ist es unglaublich wertvoll, dass wir Menschen um uns herum haben mit denen wir uns austauschen, mit denen wir genießen, feiern und lernen. Und für unseren Sohnemann ist es natürlich noch viel wichtiger,.... :-)

Many excursion destinations can be reached from our country by car and bus. Lakes, hiking areas, nature conservation, adventure pool, city, Balaton and much more. The bus leaves the village every day. From here you can take trips to the surrounding area and experience Hungary.

Von unserem Land aus sind vielerlei Ausflugsziele per Auto und Bus erreichbar. Seen, Wandergebiete, Naturschutz, Erlebnisbad, Stadt, Balaton uvm. Im Dorf fährt der Bus täglich ab. Von hier aus kannst du Ausflüge in die Umgegend unternehmen und Ungarn erleben.

Ayuda
We are looking for helping hands in the countryside from March to October.
There are a wide variety of activities... from digging or mowing the lawn to garden maintenance, to building with clay or forestry. It all depends on your skills and preferences... There are certainly plenty of ideas.
Of course, as a family, we also live a playful life... We play football or use table tennis bats, drive to the lake and and and... It never gets boring here, you can be sure of that...

Wir suchen ab März bis Oktober nach helfenden Händen auf dem Land.
Hierbei gibt es verschiedenste Tätigkeiten... vom Buddeln oder Rasenmähen über Gartenpflege, bis hin zu Bauen mit Lehm oder Waldarbeiten. Es kommt ganz auf deine Fähigkeiten und Vorlieben an... Ideen gibt es jedenfalls genügend.
Weiterhin leben wir als Familie natürlich auch spielerisch... Es wird der Fußball gekickt oder der Tischtennisschläger benutzt, zum See gefahren und und und... Es wird bei uns nie langweilig, da kannst du dir sicher sein...

We live in the countryside, right on the edge of the forest.
With us you will find a simple hot water shower, composting toilet and lots of space for your tent. We inhabit about 1ha of land. In addition, 1 ha of forest belongs to us. So you can choose where you set up camp - whether you need some rest or camp in the middle of it.
Even our Guesthouse is open for you if you like it a little more comfortable.
Our dogs are very lively but affectionate. Once you get to know them, you will love them - our bouncy balls. We also have 2 cats, ducks and chickens...
We eat lunch and dinner together with ingredients from the garden, mostly vegetarian, but there can also be meat. Everyone eats breakfast when they are hungry.
There is a big summer kitchen where we cook, eat and also like to play games.

Wir wohnen sehr ländlich, direkt am Waldrand.
Bei uns findest du eine einfache Warm-Wasserdusche vor, Komposttoilette und gaaanz viel Platz für dein Zelt. Wir bewohnen etwa 1ha Land. Zusätzlich gehört noch 1 ha Wald zu uns. Du kannst dir also aussuchen, wo du dein Lager aufschlägst - ob du etwas Ruhe brauchst oder mittendrin zeltest.
Auch das Gästehaus steht zur Verfügung, falls du es etwas häuslicher magst.
Unsere Hunde sind sehr lebendig aber herzenslieb. Wenn du sie erstmal kennst, wirst du sie lieben - unsere Flummis. Weiterhin gibt es 2 Katzen, Enten und Hühner bei uns...
Wir essen gemeinsam Mittag und Abendbrot mit Zutaten aus dem Garten, meist vegetarisch, aber es kann auch mal Fleisch geben. Das Frühstück isst jeder, wenn er Hunger hat.
Es gibt eine große Sommerküche, wo wir kochen, essen und auch gerne Spiele machen.
