I stayed with Bob and Helen for about a month and it was so wonderful! I was cared for so well; they cooked the best food and were so welcoming and helpful with my stay in France. I helped out with weeding, laying mulch, painting among other things like learning how to refurbish old wood. I discovered some new favorite foods from Helen's wonderful

Hosting Julia and Edward was like having friends to stay but with a difference – when they left instead of having got nothing done and feeling a bit snowed under I had a much tidier garden and a very tidy kitchen. We got on really well with Julia and Edward and spent our evenings eating and chatting convivially.
They were very thorough in their

They were very tidy in the kitchen and always cleared up thoroughly after meals, emptying the dishwasher and washing up. They were also very respectful of our property and our privacy which we appreciated a lot. When we showed them the totally overgrown young trees that needed clearing I was a bit concerned as it looked very daunting but they didn’t flinch and got stuck in early on their first day and transformed the area in a few days. They worked well as a team but were also happy to work apart on different tasks - Julia removed the old lime mortar from nearly a hundred reclaimed terracotta tiles whilst Edward mowed the evergrowing grass.
In summary I would recommend Julia and Edward they are hardworking, thorough and considerate and good company to spend time with. Thank you both.

A great first Workaway experience!
Helen, Bob and Thomas are very kind, thoughtful and accommodating hosts! We spent 9 days with them and from the moment we arrived felt very much at ease and totally “at home”.
We were very impressed by what they’ve achieved since moving into their characterful property. Many of the jobs they took on themselves,
… read more learning new skills along the way. This ‘can-do’ attitude was very much visible throughout our stay.
All three of them are very enthusiastic, hardworking people who operate as a team…..and kindly allowed us to become temporary members of their team.
It felt very natural for us to contribute and be as helpful as we could in our working days/hours. In return, it was hugely rewarding being able to deliver even a small contribution to their big project!
Bob and Helen made sure we had the right tools and felt comfortable with the jobs we were doing. There was never a shortage of support and never a shortage of food & drink! Indeed, we shared many family meals together, and thoroughly enjoyed both food and company.
If you are prepared to get your hands dirty, this is a hugely rewording and great fun place to spend your ‘workaway’ time. We’d go back any time, without hesitation!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Rich and Andrea stayed with us for a week in March and our first workaway experience could not have gone better.
From the first contact they came across as enthusiastic and friendly but also considerate and sincere. They suggested a phone call before they arrived which was an excellent idea to put both sides at ease. This also gave us more of an

They attacked the jobs with great enthusiasm both by themselves and when working with us; they listened to what we wanted and how we wanted things done but used their initiative to get on with things. They are a practical, hands on couple and we had no hesitation in trusting them with our equipment as they showed respect for it. Andrea in particular sprung from one job to the next with a delightful ‘joy de vivre’ until she dropped from exhaustion in the evening only to propose a full days cycle ride for their day off!! We had a tree planting project that we were keen to accomplish and despite the lousy weather we all worked hard together and completed it, we were spurred on by their help and it was far more fun than if we had been doing it alone.
They both helped in the kitchen preparing and clearing up after meals which we really appreciated and meals were relaxed with good conversation; I felt we had a very good balance of them feeling at ease and yet not taking advantage of our hospitality. I never felt there was any need for rules and regulations.
I was a bit hesitant about inviting “strangers” into our home as we have worked hard to create it and although things might look haphazard we are careful with our possessions but Andrea and Rich were some of the best visitors we have had: it was like having friends to stay with the added bonus of getting lots of work done.
I would like to say a very big thank you to them both;
and to any hosts who are lucky enough to be contacted by them – don’t hesitate book them in – good company and great productivity assured 😊

Thank you Bob and Helen for a wonderful week. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth, generosity and friendship and couldn't have asked for a better first workaway together.
We really enjoyed working outdoors, driving the tractor and quad bike, trimming hedges, and our favourite task of planting a hundred Christmas trees. What really

They explained tasks really clearly and always made sure we were happy. All the work was rewarding and we loved being part of this amazing, ambitious house restoration project. It was fascinating hearing and seeing how much hard work they had put in.
Alongside the enjoyable work, what really made this trip special was getting to know Bob, Helen and their amazing dogs. We felt very comfortable and were extremely well fed thanks to Helen's extraordinary cooking talents.
We'd highly recommend visiting this lovely couple to any workawayers looking for a fun, rewarding and varied adventure in northern France.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
