Initial state:
The project is located in Somogy County, 14 km south of Lake Balaton, in the former Blue Lake resort area of Lengyeltóti. The project area is 90 hectares, part of which is still under acquisition. Of this area, 21.5 hectares are inland and include a hotel in need of renovation and 12 buildings of various functions and condition, sports fields, a campsite and a beach. The area has electricity and piped drinking water. It is not connected to a central sewerage network, as there is a biological sewage treatment plant that has not been used for 10 years. The area has the potential for geothermal energy geothermal energy. The site is named after the 2.4 hectares of water surface from which the one of which was previously used for bathing and the other for fishing. The water supply to the ponds is 3, the 3 permanent springs located in the area. The 30 hectares of arable land surrounding the central part 38 hectares of forest are also included in the project area.
Future vision:
The project aims to create a festival and events venue that can accommodate small-scale (~max. 5,000 people) music festivals, weddings, and other events, all with the smallest possible ecological footprint, in a sustainable and waste-free manner. The area will also provide a practice space for various group activities (psychodrama, forest baths, etc.). Accommodation for guests will be provided by the renovated hotel, apartment buildings, camping and glamping facilities (canopy and hill houses, mud and straw bungalows, yurts) using various eco-technologies. Permaculture principles will guide the design of the project area, the location of the features and elements to be implemented and the techniques used. An important aim of the project is to make the area suitable for use as a permaculture training and practice area, where interested parties can see systems in action, good practices and get involved in the design. At the outset, we would also like to lay out on paper the spatial structure of an organic ecovillage, which could later be used to house permanent residents who can identify with the function of the area and who embrace the values of permaculture. Maintaining harmony between the different functions is a key aspect of the project. Infrastructure for events will be put in place as part of the permaculture design.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

WHAT WILL WE DO?
Eco-architecture:
CONSTRUCTION OF WATTLE AND DAUB WALLS IN PRACTICE - Materials: braid, adobe
Technique chosen: wattle or daub wall is the oldest lightweight wall building technique of Hungarian folk architecture. In Hungary most places you can build it with natural materials within a 30 km radius. This time we will build
the masonry of a one-storey chicken coop, on top of which one of the raised terraces of our community space will be located, providing a view of our mandala garden and geodome.
We build the south wall of our Summer kitchen with the same technique.
Regenerative land management: We are working on 80 hectares of land, which we intend to nourish and regenerate. We have spent the last 1.5 years preparing, surveying, planning and planting 60,000 trees. In spring 2023, we decided to step out into the light and invite you to come and learn and practice on our permaculture model site, built in the spirit of regenerative development. Our explicit aim is to provide a training ground for professionals who wish to (re)train themselves in a regenerative direction that truly responds to the pressing challenges of our time.
Organic gardening: We are building a Mediterranean garden and we will learn about different gardening techniques and methods, all related to permaculture principles.
Building a playground: We believe that art should surround us in a humble way without wasting resources, and with deep respect for Mother Earth. We will experiment with ways to create art together with nature for our future generations.
Cooking: Taking part in the kitchen tasks, cooking, bake the bread ourselves and prepare the lunch and dinner.
TO WHOM WE RECOMMEND
In contrast to the general knowledge courses "Introduction to Permaculture" and PDC, we will now dig deeper into the waters of practical implementation.
If you're building self-sufficiency and independence, the first thing you'll want to learn and practice.
If you want to learn about the most commonly used natural material in the last millennia, adobe, and the low tech solutions that build on it, this is the perfect time.Idiomas hablados
