  • Descripción

We are a small 3 acre permaculture farm situated in the mountains of Peninsula Malaysia. It's in the village of Janda Baik located some 50mins from the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Our vision here is to create a self sufficient farm that's perfect for a micro community of at least 5 families. At the same time, run as a training center, workshop and activities spot for budding permaculturist and other earth loving enterprise.

We are interested in natural farming, natural building and craft works. Most of our activities and workshops center around those themes.

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Our vision in the farm is to live well with nature and develop a spiritual awareness. We are raising our kids to be better people who can stand on their own feet and be people of service.

We also want them to train in a multitude of things including farm chores, craft projects, enterprise, aikido and most of all, to have a social aptitude without any cultural bias.

We receive international guests here and a lot of locals. Most exchanges revolve around permaculture and spiritual upliftment. Our interns will also participate in learning about these matters during their stay here.

We also plan to conduct regular aikido classes and archery practice.

We like to explore local and international cuisine and transition it into more healthy vegetarian versions, we practice alternate days of vegetarian meals for health and spiritual reasons. All in all, it'll be a great place to learn about farm to plate and recipe building especially since we are in the midst of trials and experimentation.

  • Ayuda

We want people who are proficient with natural farming methods, natural building methods, crafts work like woodworking, and animal care.

We have staff who has gone through permaculture courses and internship, but more hands make for light work.

Currently we are building the main building that's based on a concrete structure but will be finished off with earthhalls, a lot of wood crafting.

We are also in the midst of rejuvenating a section of the land into a synthropic food forest system.

  • Alojamiento

We have dorms and it's called earth hall. It's on the first story of our learning hall. It's open plan with mattresses on a wooden floor but with a fantastic view of the forest hills.

Bathrooms and toilets are not ensuite, it's located in a close by building. The toilets are compost toilets with bokashi bran and wash bidets. The showers are all rain water harvested.

We have a Hilux and van and a couple of bicycles. The village is not far and there's plenty of things to do. Rivers, waterfalls, ATV, jungle trails, archery, paintball and we even have a hot water spring about an hour away.

We have limited WiFi being close to the jungle. As such we don't cater for massive online or realtime usage. Rather if you need the internet for a couple of hours for research and uploading stuff at night, we can accommodate that. Our work also begins early in the morning and with an afternoon break followed by closing up work in the late afternoon. So outside work has to work around those times.
