  We are an international family of two busy professionals who often travel for work and live between central Florence (Tuscany) and Taormina (Sicily). We speak three languages in the home, love art, history, food and the outdoors. Our kid Antonio is a quiet boy who loves music, outdoors and plenty of attention and talking; he will ask you to play all the time he is awake and he needs your input to navigate between the languages :) Depending on our work situation, we might need you to join the family either in Florence or Taormina, we will provide transportation between the two locations if you join us in both.
  NB: Alessandro smokes but only outdoors; if you are a smoker, smoking outdoors is OK but never near the kid. Our homes are a strict smoke-free environment.

  Stay in our beach house in Sicily (directly on the beach near Taormina) or in a super central location in Florence (original Medieval tower, 900 yo, just next to all the monuments) - learn local culture and food traditions (we like to cook and discover new foods) - practice Italian with Alex or outside the home (native level English, Swedish, French or Russian required to play with the kid). Free museum access when accompanying the kid, free local tourism advice from a professional.

  Ayuda

  Antonio is 5 yo and needs plenty of one-on-one interaction with an adult to learn speaking and communicating. Prior experience with small kids or language teaching is a plus but not necessary. You must genuinely love kids, be a talkative person, have lots of patience (he needs repetitions and slow pace in games and interaction), and love the outdoors. You must also be willing to work on a flexible schedule (it might not be the same hours each day) and take care of your own needs (wash your own dishes, take turns with us in cooking and cleaning for everyone, grocery shopping, etc - this is a home stay, not a hotel!) You like to wake up early, are outgoing talkative proactive and constructive, take initiative, have good communication skills, love to play with kids dance and sing with them, don't mind unevenly distributed working hours, like nature and being outdoors in any weather, think out-of-the-box, like going places both during and outside your working hours (our home is rather small and we spend lot's of time outside), help around the house like in any usual house share (part of your living here, not part of your working hours). Experience working with small kids playing the piano or teaching language is a plus.

  Alojamiento

  Sicily: bed in loft (no visibility from the living room below but no real wall either) abive the living room. Private bedroom could be available, depending on our work commitments.
  Florence: bed in loft (hidden behind a wall for privacy) above the living room.

  Possibility of paid overtime if the parents have a very heavy workload. 100 Euro tip per week for well performed work paid out in the end of your stay, provided you complete your stay as planned.
  Flexibility in working hours is essential (not suitable for students with fixed schedule requirements, though a few hours per week can be accommodated).
  You are expected to pro-actively contribute to the housekeeping duties beyond your working hours like in any home sharing: wash your own linens and dishes, participate in housekeeping, take out the trash, participate in grocery shopping (at our expense and on regular Italian diet - we cannot accommodate vegans) and cooking on a fare basis shared with others in the home. We are not here to service you :)
