A warm hello from us to you,
Our family is looking for 1-2 Workawayers to come experience life up here in British Columbia. We are a co-op community on West Redonda Island. The property consists of 180+ acres that is shared between 18 families. The property and island has an extensive trail system to enjoy and explore. In the summer, our community is quite bustling with boaters and kayakers visiting Refuge Cove marina. It is a favourite boating destination in Desolation Sound. In the winter, there are only a handful of people on the island.
It is a boat access only community on West Redonda island. Located just outside of Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park. By speedboat, we are about 10 minutes east of Cortes island, and 30 minutes north of Lund.
Our family would love to host a Workawayer during the our busy Spring/Summer season.

In exchange for your support, we look forward to offering accommodation, adventure, and weekly/bi-weekly trips to town. Off island, you will have opportunities to explore Desolation Sound, Cortes Island, Powell River/Lund, the Sunshine Coast Trail and other surrounding areas.
This community holds some great stories, knowledge keepers and characters. Stay and get to know a historic coastal community!

Ayuda
We are looking for 1-2 people to come and support our family through the Spring and Summer months. Our family has a restaurant and art gallery/retail shop that is open from June-September that keeps us fairly busy.
Mostly, we need some extra support during these busy summer months to help with projects on the property, as well as daily living tasks.
Some tasks we need support with is:
- property cleanup and maintenance such as landscaping, gardening, weeding and trail maintenance
- some small scale building projects
- painting
- cooking, baking and cleaning
- chopping firewood
- taking our sweet dog on adventures during our long work days
The perfect folks for this Workaway opportunity would be someone who is:
- comfortable living in a remote area and taking the lead with their time off
- are comfortable without access to the comforts of town and living off grid
- This is a very small community, and there is plenty of opportunity for quiet and recluse alone time. However in June-September you can meet some of the most interesting people coming to visit that you can meet in the marina
- comfortable living in the wilderness
- confident and happy to explore the area on your own when we are busy
- experience using building tools
- experience with landscaping and gardening
- comfortable being on the water

We live in a rustic, off the grid oceanfront cabin. Your accommodation would either be in the cabin shared with us, or in a private 14’ x 16’ wall tent.

Enjoy swimming, snorkelling, diving, boating, kayaking, and fishing from our oceanfront property. Hiking, foraging and exploring this beautiful coastline. Paddling, swimming and lounging by the islands fresh water lake. Lots of great books for downtime.
