Szia! (meaning "Hi" in our language)
I’m Júlia, and I live in a two-generation home - I share the house with my partner Martin and my father Rudi in the town of Mosonmagyaróvár, at the edge of the beautiful Szigetköz region in northwestern Hungary.
Our home is calm, cozy, and surrounded by greenery. We love living close to nature, growing our own food, working on small home projects. We have a cat named Tigris, and for the next year we’re preparing to welcome chickens to our backyard again.
We’ve travelled a lot ourselves and still love traveling and truly enjoy cultural exchange — whether that’s over a shared meal, a walk in the garden, or a fun weekend trip.
The Szigetköz area is full of natural beauty – perfect for cycling (you can even ride to Austria or Slovakia on the bike paths), kayaking or canoeing on the many small rivers, or visiting the local thermal spas. The nearby villages are charming and well-kept, and with good public transport and motorway access, we’re easy to reach from anywhere.
We’ll make sure you feel at home while discovering this special part of Hungary. We're happy to show you around or give tips for exploring!
We’d be happy to welcome you into our everyday life and create good memories together!Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We love connecting with people from all over the world and sharing experiences and meaningful conversations.
You’ll be invited to cook and eat with us, spend time outdoors, and participate in local cultural life if you wish. Each month we organize small community gatherings with friends, and you’re welcome to join.
We are happy to share our knowledge of
- if you’re into gardening or growing your own food, we can share a lot of ideas about plants, herbs, and sustainable living, seasonal harvesting. (You can also teach us.)
- local Hungarian cooking (we grow and use a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits from our garden)
- yoga, lifestyle coaching, rehabilitation techniques, and tips on holistic living and building healthy daily routines.
- and we’re happy to teach or practice Hungarian with you!
We speak English and Hungarian fluently. Martin is also learning German, and we’re both curious about Italian, Spanish, or any other languages you might bring with you.
In exchange, we’d love to learn from you! Whether it’s new cultural perspectives, creative skills like music, dancing, photography, videography, and editing, or web development know-how, martial arts, etc..., we are always curious and open. Let’s exchange ideas!
Meeting people from different cultures inspires us and helps us see life from new angles – and we hope we can have plenty of meaningful conversations around the dinner table.Ayuda
There’s always something happening around the house or in the garden! You might help us with:
• seasonal gardening (weeding, planting, transplanting, composting)
• harvesting fruits and vegetables
• maintaining our small orchard and herb garden
• shaping flowerbeds or vegetable patches
• preparing a chicken coop and yard for new hens
• small DIY and home improvement projects to make our home even more welcoming
• general help around the house
We’ll work mostly together, so it feels like teamwork rather than “tasks”, and you’ll never be expected to do anything you’re not comfortable with.
Most of the time, we’ll work between the morning and evening hours, and you'll have plenty of free time to relax or explore the area.

Hours expected
About 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We are quite flexible with scheduling: our main job is in the mornings and again from late afternoon into the evening. So we normally focus on gardening and creative/learning projects in the late morning and early afternoon gap.
There is no minimum stay – come for a few days or longer if we get along well!
Initiative and open communication are appreciated.Idiomas

You’ll stay just a few hundred meters from our family home, in a quiet and private part of another property we own.
It shares the main entrance to the building with a sport association, but your space is separated by a corridor with its own lockable door for privacy and security. The room is spacious and bright, and it comes with access to a private bathroom with toilet and shower, plus a small kitchen area where you can prepare simple meals or snacks. We provide a clean sleeping space with bedding and a towel.
You’ll have normal and simple essentials: a bed (or comfortable mattress setup), storage space for your belongings and electricity.
If you prefer, you can also camp in our garden or park your van or camper car on the property.
If you choose the tent or campervan option, you can still use the indoor bathroom and kitchen facilities. We keep things friendly, respectful, and calm—ideal if you enjoy a balance of community time and personal rest.
WiFi: There is no internet at the accommodation, but you can use WiFi at our family house (just a few meters away).
Laundry: You can use our washing machine.
Meals: We usually eat together as a family, and you’re warmly invited to join. Breakfast is often simple—oats/porridge. And daily eggs—and we try to grow as many of our own vegetables and fruits as possible, depending on the season. We cook a varied, home-style diet. We are not avoid anything, so like to eat everything, but we try to eat the healthiest and best way.
Please note: we cannot fully cater a strict vegetarian or vegan diet; if you are strictly vegan or need a special diet, you would need to self-cater for those meals. You can use the kitchen space and we’ll make room for you in the fridge/pantry. We’re happy to share local flavors and also curious to taste your recipes if you like to cook.
If you have any specific needs (allergies, preferred sleeping setup, dietary notes), just tell me in advance so we can see what’s realistic.Algo más...
