  This summer, we only need specific help :
  -CARPENTERS - TWO WEEKS : building wood walls inside (futur workshops)
  -ROOFER - 1 WEEK : installing three metal gutters to collect rain water and redirect it to one of our big concrete tank. Please contact us if you have these specific skills, it would be very useful to get some help from you.
  
  For all others, we hope to meet you during the summer 2024 ;)

  Hello everyone!
  
  A former cooperative wine cave in the Minervois (South of France) - the 2000 m2 building is being transformed into a space for sharing work, creativity and culture. Situated in the heart of the vineyards of Sainte-Valiere in the Occitanie, it is just 30 minutes from the beaches of the Mediterranean and 5 minutes from the Canal du Midi.
  
  Living in the Minervois has given us an insight into a rare combination of creativity, nature, heritage and sun. Connections that have inspired us to create this project. Our mission? To unite multidisciplinary forces to establish this space in Sainte-Valière: A place to work, play and socialise. For adults, seniors, teenagers, children, professionals, visitors and the curious.
  
  We are actively engaged in enriching the lifestyle of this rural area, around meeting places favouring impromptu encounters.
  ​
  Youth clubs, care homes, urban offices far from our homes ... there has been a physical separation of ages and activities over the last century.
  
  We believe that social cohesion suffers from this separation, and that the possibility of a new transversal dialogue is very real. There is an opportunity for new decentralised working methods, bringing our employment back closer to the countryside.

  We want to create a space which unites generations, professional and non-professional activities. With an atmosphere that is lively and yet calm, in the heart of the vineyards, a third place that adapts to the rapid changes of the times that we know. A space that is creative and alluring, and at the same time local, sustainable, innovative and connected to the world.

  Ancienne cave coopérative du Minervois (Sud de la France), ce bâtiment de 2000 m2 est en cours de transformation en un espace partagé de travail, de créativité et de culture. Situé au cœur des vignobles de Sainte-Valière en Occitanie, nous sommes est à 30 minutes des plages de la Méditerranée et à 5 minutes du Canal du Midi.
  
  Vivre dans le Minervois nous a permis de découvrir un mélange rare de créativité, de nature, de patrimoine et de soleil, qui nous a inspiré pour la création de ce projet. Notre mission ? Réunir les forces pluridisciplinaires pour établir cet espace à Sainte-Valière : Un lieu de travail, d’art et de rencontres impromptues pour les adultes, les seniors, les adolescents, les enfants, les professionnels, les visiteurs et les curieux.
  
  Maisons de jeunes, maisons de santé, bureaux urbains éloignés de nos habitations... on assiste depuis un siècle à une séparation physique des âges et des activités. Nous pensons que la cohésion sociale souffre de cette séparation, et que la possibilité d'un nouveau dialogue transversal est bien réelle. I’opportunité est là pour de nouvelles méthodes de travail décentralisées, rapprochant nos emplois de nos campagnes.
  
  Cette nouvelle façon de travailler nécessite un toît :
  
  Nous créons un espace qui réunisse les générations et les activités professionnelles et non professionnelles. Nous voulons offrir une atmosphère à la fois vivante et calme, au cœur des vignobles, pour un tiers-lieu qui s'adapte aux changements rapides de l'époque que nous connaissons. Un espace créatif et apaisant, mais aussi local, durable, innovant et connecté au monde.

  The space will consist of a 600m2 shared workshop - for independent artists, artisans, makers, designers - to work collaboratively and sustainably.
  As of 2024, we are hoping there will be a Cafe/Bistro open to all - serving local produce, coffee. It will provide a hub, a functional space, for locals and newcomers alike to convene through events, workshops, mini-festivals, music nights, games spaces for kids, social spaces for communing, relaxing and working outside of the normal workplace.
  
  We're situated in Sainte-Valière, Minervois. A tiny hamlet between the black mountains and the Pyrenees, it's very quiet and beautifully isolated, shops are within a short driving distance and there is a small épicerie in the village selling essential supplies and local wines. Narbonne is the nearest town and we're 1 hours drive from Beziers and Montpellier cities, Toulouse is 1hr 30mins and Barcelona is a 3hr drive/train journey.

  L'espace consistera en un grand atelier partagé open-plan de 600m2 : entrepreneurs, artistes indépendants, artisans, fabricants, designers, télétravailleurs - pour travailler en collaboration et de manière durable.
  Pour 2024, on prépare un espace café/bistro ouvert au public servant des produits locaux. Il constituera une plaque tournante, un espace fonctionnel, pour que les habitants et les nouveaux arrivants puissent se réunir autour d'événements, d'ateliers, de mini-festivals, de soirées musicales, d'espaces de jeux pour les enfants, d'espaces sociaux pour communier, se détendre et travailler en dehors du lieu de travail habituel.
  
  Nous sommes situés à Sainte-Valière, dans le Minervois. Un petit hameau entre les montagnes noires et les Pyrénées, c'est très calme et magnifiquement isolé, les magasins sont à une courte distance en voiture et une petite épicerie dans le village vend des fournitures essentielles et des vins locaux. Narbonne est la ville la plus proche et nous sommes à 50 min de route des villes de Béziers et Carcassonne. Toulouse et Montpellier sont à 1 heure 30 et Barcelone est à 3 heures de route/train.

  We're constantly learning in the space every day whilst navigating all the different jobs that need doing.
  Jon and Em (co-founders) are professional Architects and Jon is a Metal Sculptor , they can advice and teach on building tasks. We also manage the daily life of the teams and there's a wealth of experiences to be gained from just seeing a big space change dramatically with your help.

  Accommodation & Food:
  
  There will be a 4 bedrooms indoor camping facilities available as accommodation on-site. The space is in the upstairs of the building. It’s a huge, bright building with a funky shower and a dry toilet on the premises. We provide a bed, laundry facilities & pillows but please bring a sleeping bag and any sheets you may need.
  
  Food!
  We’ll cook and eat communally each day - except breakfasts that are autonomous in fully equipped kitchen.
  
  Accomodation and food is all free in exchange of 5 hours help/day ( weekends are off unless you are really motivated ;))

  In your time off there are various outdoor activities to do including a short walk/cycle to a small swimming spot/river, there is a lake a short drive away for swimming and rentable paddle-boarding, there are various bars in the surrounding villages a short cycle/drive away for evenings out - hopefully everything will remain open!
  
  Transport:
  
  - we are pretty lost in the vinyards ! :)
  
  - Flights can be taken to Beziers, Carcassonne, Montpellier or Toulouse all provide short bus journeys to the train stations which takes you to Narbonne train station. A bus takes you from Narbonne straight to Sainte-Valière.
  
  Carcassonne, Beziers, Montpellier, Toulouse (plane) -----bus------>Train Station------->Narbonne----bus---->Sainte-Valiére
  
  - The euro-star also takes you from London to Paris, and there is a regular direct train from Paris to Narbonne
  - For anyone driving the euro-tunnel is currently running as normal and it's approximately a 10-11hr drive from the North down to Occitanie (it's far but possible!) but you can certainly make a beautiful journey of it.
  
  We hope you're motivated and ready to get stuck in, and relax at the same time! As everyone will be living and working together we ask that everyone respects each other's space and needs.

  Pendant votre temps libre, il y a de nombreuses activités de plein air à faire, y compris une courte promenade à pied ou à vélo jusqu'à un petit lieu de baignade ou une rivière, il y a un lac à une courte distance en voiture pour la baignade et la location de paddle-board, il y a plusieurs bars dans les villages environnants à une courte distance en vélo ou en voiture pour vos soirées
  
  
  Transport:
  
  - nous sommes au milieu des vignobles :) ! 25 min de Narbonne
  
  - Des vols peuvent être pris à Béziers, Carcassonne, Montpellier ou Toulouse, qui offrent tous de courts trajets en bus jusqu'aux gares ferroviaires qui vous amènent à la gare de Narbonne. Un bus vous emmène directement de Narbonne à Sainte-Valière.
  
  Carcassonne, Béziers, Montpellier, Toulouse (avion) -----bus------>Gare ferroviaire------->Narbonne----bus---->Sainte-Valière
  Pour les groupes, nous pourrons récupère en gare de Lezignan (15min) ou Narbonne (25min)
  
  L'Eurostar vous emmène également de Londres à Paris, et il y a un train direct régulier de Paris à Narbonne.
  
  Nous espérons que vous êtes motivés et prêts à vous détendre en même temps ! Comme tout le monde va vivre et travailler ensemble, nous demandons à chacun de respecter l'espace et les besoins de l'autre.

  If you're now working from home we will have plenty of space for digital working in your spare time, with full access to internet and all living facilities 24/7 as you'll be living and working in the same building.
