After 30 years of hard work patience and determination building our own tranquil Haven, the results are sublime .
Set in six hectares of forest garden with large ponds and streams, calm and undisturbed by any of the outside world,it is a magnet for wildlife.
We occupy ourselves with enhancing natural succession and only harvest what we need.
Come and be part of this simple understanding of the ecosystem that we are a small portion of.
This would suit someone who is fit and healthy with lots of energy.

SEPTEMBER UPDATE
This month we have have branches to chip, firewood to chop and stack, and if it's dry, new drainage to install.
The help can be physically demanding and sometimes learning new skills is challenging.
We take good care of you but would also appreciate a hand with the daily chores like the dishes, sweeping up etc.
You may need to bring old clothes, strong shoes,and work gloves.

Polite young man - was very surprised on his second day with us to find a Breton eating in our village who was fluent in Korean, as he had a Creperie in Saoul with his Korean wife.

Place that feels like spirit of Workaway - work & socialization. The work was hard, the food was good, and you were really taught to do things on your own. The longer you stay, the better it gets. There were some barbecues, lakeside dinner, but mostly resting by working & talking.

Lovely hosts -they look after you really well, great farm with lots of permaculture ideas and a nice variety of work to keep it interesting and develop man skills ;) Be careful though, you might get stuck here and not want to leave! When we found a task that Stefano liked it was impossible to stop him! He even stayed longer than planned so that he could finish "his" wall. He's friendly, good company.

Lynn came to us rather quickly in a somewhat distressed state due to feeling unwelcome at her previous host's farm, as such we weren't really prepared for her but she mucked in and helped out with all that we asked her to do.

Fahri stayed with us for a couple of weeks and made a great impression, a lovely quiet sense of humour, our Grandson took to him straight away. He's helpful and very easy to live with. Highly recommended.

I spent four weeks in April with Philip and Helen, and I learned a good deal about life on their rural farm. It is a remote and beautiful place, and the cabin that was my accomodation was absolutely perfect. The work could be challenging at times but Philip is able to share a lot of information about the permaculture lifestyle.
