Descripción
Set in 6 hectares of land with ponds,streams and woodland teeming with diverse wildlife.
Since moving to France over 30 years ago, this abandoned old farm has been lovingly developed into a mature ecosystem by Phil's passion and dedicated adherence to 'permaculture' principles.
Using syntrophic and regenerative techniques in everything he does - from his planting thousands of saplings to create a forest garden, to his use of beneficial micro-organisms to super charge the soil.....
He is always willing to share his knowledge and experiences and is eager to learn more.
This would suit someone who is fit and healthy with lots of energy.
Having been hosts for over 20 years we have seen countries through other people's eyes and made some long lasting friendships - we look forward to opening our home and family to many others yet.

Highly intelligent and eager to learn.

Place that feels like spirit of Workaway - work & socialization. The work was hard, the food was good, and you were really taught to do things on your own. The longer you stay, the better it gets. There were some barbecues, lakeside dinner, but mostly resting by working & talking.

Lovely hosts -they look after you really well, great farm with lots of permaculture ideas and a nice variety of work to keep it interesting and develop man skills ;) Be careful though, you might get stuck here and not want to leave! Miro is really easy to get on with, helpful and polite. Very hardworking and willing to learn. We enjoyed having him stay with us even though he's rubbish at Trivial Pursuits!!!! All of us wish him well in the future - especially Joao and Désolé

Stayed with Helen and Phil for a week in the end of January and learnt about various things, from permaculture and house decoration to keeping a business in France. Had great fun together with the other volunteers and saw new perspectives. Thanks for the experience!

Very personable young man, got some great stories to tell, however he can be a little bit workshy, which is a shame, especially when other workawayers end up doing more than their fair share.
Saying that, 'Mister Pink' has become an infamous caricature here and I think "he" will be with us for quite a while.

The work could be challenging at times but Philip is able to share a lot of information about the permaculture lifestyle.
