  My name is Gabriela, I have been living at the Finca for two years with two dogs. I was born in Brazil and grew up in the Canary Islands. I work as a guide on a project for children in the forest. The farm is in the town of Garafia, on the island of La Palma, at an altitude of 1000 metres, nestled in the laurel forest, surrounded by heather, laurels and chestnuts. There are fruit trees and an orchard. The space is also available for retreats and occasionally for accommodation for travellers. It is a magical place, where beauty, integration with nature and silence are taken care of. It has beautiful paths and trails for walking, and the sea is 20 minutes away. I would love to receive help with gardening, construction, beautification of spaces...if you do any activity you can offer it in the space for the community. It has a main house, a small austere house for volunteers, a yurt and 4000 metres of land with fruit trees. In these months I would like to prepare a small cave, plant fruit trees, expand the medicinal plant garden, and build a kitchen next to the yurt. The farm is a bit isolated from the main services, it is quite common to get around by hitchhiking, or by bus.

  Trabajo como acompañante en un proyecto para niños y niñas en el bosque.
  La finca esta en el pueblo de Garafia, en la isla de La Palma, a 1000 metros de altura, enclavada en el bosque de laurisilva, rodeada de brezos, laureles y castaños. Hay frutales y huerto.
  El espacio se ofrece además para Retiros y puntualmente para alojamiento de viajeros.
  Es un lugar mágico, donde se cuida la belleza, la integracion con la naturaleza y el silencio. Tiene caminos y senderos hermosos para caminar, el mar esta a 20 minutos.
  Me encantaría recibir ayuda en las tareas de huerta y jardinería, construccion, embellecimiento de espacios...si haces alguna actividad puedes ofrecerla en el espacio para la comunidad.
  Cuenta con una vivienda principal, una pequeña vivienda austera para personas voluntarias, yurta y 4000 metros de terreno con frutales.
  En estos meses me gustaría acondicionar una pequeña cueva, plantar frutales , ampliar el jardín de plantas medicinales, y construir una cocina al lado de la yurta.
  
  La finca esta un poco aislada de los servicios principales, es bastante habitual moverse haciendo autostop, o autobús.

  Alojamiento

  At the moment there is room for one person or a couple in a small traditional cottage. The room is simple and austere, and has not yet been renovated. The upper part has a bed, a wardrobe and a gas stove if necessary. The lower part has a small gas stove, a sink and is shared with me as there is a washing machine. There is an outside bathroom next to the cottage with a hot shower. The volunteer dedicates four hours a day to the work on the farm, which can be organised as desired and according to the needs of the space and his own needs. Food will be provided for him in the house during his stay (vegetarian food), he will be able to cook in his kitchenette and at times, if we both wish, share the meal.
  
  Por el momento hay espacio para una persona o una pareja en una pequeña casita tradicional. La habitación es austera y sencilla, aun sin reformar.
  La parte alta tiene una cama, armario y estufa de gas si fuera necesario. La parte de abajo tiene una pequeña cocina de gas, fregadero, y es compartida conmigo pues esta la lavadora.
  Hay un baño exterior al lado de la casita, con ducha de agua caliente.
  
  La persona voluntaria dedica cuatro horas diarias a los trabajos de la finca, que puede organizar como desee y según las necesidades del espacio y sus propias necesidades . Tendrá cubierto los alimentos en la casa durante su estancia (alimentacion vegetariana), podrá cocinarlos en su cocinita, y en algunos momentos, si ambos lo deseamos, compartir el momento de la comida.

  There is a nearby shop that opens from Sunday to Wednesday two kilometres from the farm, with fresh, local and organic products. You can visit natural and cultural monuments of the Aboriginal people. Being a mountain area, it is cold in winter and hot in summer.
  
  Hay una tienda cercana que abre de domingo a miércoles a dos kilómetros de la finca, con productos frescos, locales, y ecológicos.
