 - Descripción- We are a non-profit organization that supports communities affected by natural disasters. Since October 2024, we have been on the ground in Pasco County, Florida, helping homeowners and community members recover from the disastrous hurricanes Milton and Helene.
Our program is seeking volunteers to help with the recovery efforts by mucking and gutting, and rebuilding homes.
We provide 3 meals each work day and accommodation for the duration of your stay. We offer co-ed housing in a hurricane shelter setting. Volunteers are responsible for all other expenses, including travel to and from Hudson, Florida, where our base is located.
 - Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje- Trabajo de caridad - Construcción y bricolaje
 - Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje- We welcome volunteers from all over the world - past volunteers on our program have come from France, Germany, South Africa, and more, and from all corners of the US. We are a volunteer-powered and inclusive group that welcomes all ages, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, skill levels, etc.
 - Ayuda- We are a disaster response and recovery organisation that welcomes volunteers of all skill levels and with any amount of experience! We provide tools, hardware, building supplies, and the personal protective equipment (PPE) we ask you to wear on our worksites. All you need to provide is a pair of boots! We do hurricane response in the form of muck-and-gut tasks to strip flooded homes down to the studs; mould sanitation and mediation to prep for rebuilding; and long-term drywall installation and home rebuilding and remodeling.
 - Idiomas hablados- Inglés: Fluido
 - Alojamiento- We are currently staying in a co-ed communal-style dorm in a hurricane shelter. Bunk beds and bedding such as blankets, sheets, and pillows are provided. While we recommend bringing items to ensure personal comfort and a good night's rest, please be aware that space for storing personal items is limited.
 - Algo más...- We work hard to foster a communal and welcoming atmosphere (we love what we do and wouldn't be able to do it without our volunteers!)... we host game nights, trivia, etc.
 - Un poco más de información - Acceso a Internet
