Matt, & Fannie ! i am lost for words ! i really feel truly blessed that you came to be part of our team at the farm. meeting you and getting to know you was amazing. it was almost like the universe knew something beyond us and with divine timing, we were connected. it was so easy to get along and to share our home with you... it felt like family
… read more or long lost soulmates had come to visit. you were so fun to be with, very kind and caring and patient. you were always eager to get to the job and to help out. it was incredible how much work you put into caring for the puppies... without your efforts the surprise puppy litter would have overwhelmed us since we were already taking on big jobs. thank you immensely for helping with that ! thank you so much for the help with building the tiny house. we could not have gotten those walls up without you ! and the roof ! with all that crazy rain and snow, we finally managed to get it done and the job looks great !
we know we will see you again in the future ! we wish you the best and you will always have a place to land at the farm if you ever want to come by again !
sending you love and light in the new year ! xo

Anyone considering staying with Justin, Christine, Fehra an Zenon would definitely benefit from having a strong sense of community and value this as a lifestyle. We were immersed in the Family Nucleus (as Justin describes it) from the get go and took part in the daily chores and functions of the dream. Living in a Yurt in the winter time has its
… read more challenges but is quite comfortable if you get to know your wood stove and hone your fire-starting abilities. We have only good things to say about the accommodations as we knew what to expect and find it literally impossible to complain about Christine's cooking (Justin is pretty good too)
We helped Justin with building projects and went on a couple of nature walks for wild game (hunting) with both Justin and Christine on separate occasions (the Ontario wilderness is a unique and wonderful one). We helped with feeding and watering animals (including a litter of 9 puppies!) We got to help prepare a pig for meat. Helped with cooking and house chores on occasion. Assisted with childcare. Essentially you become part of something that is bigger than yourself, a Family, and it felt natural to be part of the tribe for us!!
In regards to downtime, as mentioned, we felt quite comfortable being part of the family nucleus so in the 18 or so days we were there we didn't take too many days away from the farm. We spent time with the kids or the dogs and puppies, we unfortunately only discovered our musical passions on the last couple nights there but am sure we would have had plenty more had we stayed longer. We played cards, laughed and cried and generally just felt at home. We found a local restaurant we enjoyed and went for a couple dates and went to Sudbury to experience the city a little. Other than that, we volunteered to go to the grocery store a few times or pick up other items.
During this time of our travels being away from the city and immersed in nature was exactly what we were looking for and what we needed. Our experience here was in line was our goals and values and we really got to experience an amazing connection with this family. We looking forward to crossing paths with them again. <3Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

The farm is a unbelievable wonderful place to stay. And it was a great honor, to be their first workaway guest.
I spend almost two week with this family and I felt more like a part of the family, than a guest. I can say, that we become friends. The family consist of Christine, Justin and their kids Fehra and Zenon. I spend most of the time with
… read more Justin and helped him with several things to prepare their farm for the winter. But it felt more like learning and joy, than work. Justin likes to teach you his skills and he always wants , that you learn some thing. He taught me how to cut wood, how to shoot, how to butcher a rabbit, how to build a tiny house on wheels and how to joke in English …
Christine is a wonderful company, a great cook (We eat always great fresh food and home grown meat) and a weaver (she has a big loom in her yurt). She always wants the best for me and we talk a lot about meditation and yoga.
I loved to hang out with the kids. Fehra and Zenon ate open mind and pretty clever. I seemed to except me pretty fast as a part of the community . I loved to play with them or to watch a movie with them.
O yeah and we celebrated Halloween together. The fist Halloween in my live.
I should forget Justin Parents. They live near by and they a great. We spend a butifull day on their out posed camp which is only reachable by boat.
Last but not least I had a my own tiny yurt, which is beautifully painted. To stay in a Yurt was special experience, but I tell you I will not miss it. A Yurt is much more convenience that it seems to be first.
Thank for the gift to be a part of your dream! I Will not forget you!
I just only can highly recommend these Yurt Guys :)Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
