I'am Antonio, teacher and farmworker and with my son (Fernando) we work on this project. We live in Chilean Patagonia. We have a 215-hectare field on the road between Coyhaique and Balmaceda. 15 minutes from Balmaceda Airport, in the Aysén Region, Chile. We are located 8 km from the Carretera Austral (Austral Road). In the countryside we are building a hiking trail for trekking and nature tourism, you can do bird watching, to obtain knowledge of the native forest, to know information about the geography and geology of the place, fishing in the river, with beautiful viewpoints, ideal for photography. In our field the Huemules River is also located, and in summer fruits of the forest are collected, such as Strawberries or Calafate.
Our favorite activities are: work in the forest, walk the trails, collect wild strawberries, talk with people, make friends, cook, read and share life experiences.

Live an experience in the native forest and steppe of Patagonia. We are located one kilometer from the Chilean and Argentinian border. Learn about forest management for nature conservation and care. We are a family owner of the field, but I work as a religion teacher and Fernando is engineer. We like to live much of the week in our field. Talk and transmit our experience of life, of living in southern Chile (Patagonia), since we were born and have always lived here.
We want that you know our way of life, enjoy the place, and its surroundings.Proyectos con niños

Ayuda
The main help we would like to receive is mainly for:
Clean the branches of the forest, enable hiking trails, plant trees, pruning wild shrubs, cut firewood that is in a native forest project, and fill sacks with firewood, build trail signage signs, build or fix field fences, Build wooden benches for the trail. In addition, as we are making the place known, if you work or you like the tourism, you could rely on ideas or even guide people along the path. If you like photography or audiovisual, you could photograph our field and make a photo album or video.
If you like talk, walk and to know people you are in the right place.
Jobs do not demand an over effort. The activity that demands more effort can be to cut firewood or raise a sack of firewood, which we gather for the winter.
No driving license is necessary.Idiomas

We would like to be able to learn English language and / or phrases or words of any language from the volunteer. 1 hour a day of lessons is enough.Alojamiento
We have two small cabins in our field, one where we live, which has a full bathroom. And the other has a dry bathroom located outside of it. Both shelters or cabins have a wood stove and are equipped with two beds and a mattress. In the wood stove you have to heat the water to bathe.
They are simple but very cozy facilities. Likewise, there is the possibility of setting up tents in the cabin sector, as long as the weather allows it. We still have well water, very clean. The area where we live has beautiful landscapes and is protected from the wind. We have electric light.
The provisions for cooking, breakfast, are provided by us, vegetables and fruits are also considered. Volunteers must cook in the shelter they occupy.Algo más...
In free time you can tour our countryside (215 hectares), visit some neighbors who have orchards and raise animals. Visit the city of Balmaceda (15 km) or the city of Coyhaique (47 km.). The city of Coyhaique is very interesting because it is the regional capital, it is a beautiful city, with a newly built river waterfront, with good craft beers, good food, Museum and surrounded by a national forest reserve. Also in the Aysén Region, we have attractions such as the Queulat National Park with its hanging snowdrift and the Marble Chapels in Puerto Río Tranquilo. We have our own transportation, and also transportation of neighbors and visitors who pass through the rural road of our countryside. Food is also provided by us, and we have no inconvenience if you are vegetarian or vegan. Internet and telephone signal is available.
