… read more great cook. She made us a few dishes from Germany that were so yummy. She also makes THE BEST waffles!
I enjoyed her company so very much, she is a beautiful person inside and out and the only downside to our experience with her was having to say goodbye. Come back anytime Laura, you are so missed:heart:

I highly recommend working for this kind, loving, fun and fantastic family. Laurie, Brent, Emily, Evan and Alex immediatly welcomed me into their home as if I was part of their family. I stayed with them at the end of my travels for about three weeks and I can just say I couldn't have asked for a better family to end my work and holiday year with.

I mainly worked around the household including child care. Emily and Evan were fun to play with and I loved our Dance parties, which I will miss very much!! Alex is just such a cutie, can't wait to see how fast he will grow up!!
I already miss all three of them very much!!
Laurie and Brent are really open for new things, easy going and always happy to share their experiences with you. I want to thank both of them for showing me around and making sure I have a great Canadian experience with their family and for helping me out with getting ready to leave Canada and going back home, I really appreciate that!!
Last but not least I want to say, Laurie it was such a pleasure getting to know you by working around the house with you. You are more like a big sister to me now than a workaway host. Thank you again for everything! I will miss our movie nights with Carina a lot!!
If I were you I would immediatly write this amazing Family and try to arrange a workaway spot with them.
I already miss all six of you very, very much and I can't wait to come and visit you again. Thank you again for everything you have done for me!! You are always welcome in my home and I hope to see you guys soon!!

I absolutely loved staying in Cobble Hill. Laurie and Brent are great hosts who made me feel welcome right away. They have a wonderful home and lovely kids :) I was invited to go on little outings with them and they even helped me get around the Island by dropping me off in Victoria and Nanaimo for example.
