Welcome to beautiful Waimate North! With stunning views of rolling hills and farmland, we're located just 15-20 minutes from Kerikeri. You'll need your own vehicle to make the most of your stay, as public transport doesn't come this way! 😊
We’re looking for some friendly help with general property maintenance—think weeding, hedge trimming, and pruning. If you enjoy working on projects, there’s a shade-house where I grow plants that could use a little TLC, especially since one of the shelving areas has collapsed.
We ask for about 4 hours of help from you, five days a week, and you’ll have your weekends free to explore! In exchange, we’ll provide comfy accommodation in a cozy cabin that’s separate from the house. It comes with heating, a bathroom, WiFi, and a TV! You’ll find a small fridge and basic cooking facilities, including a microwave, a bench top oven/air fryer, and a stovetop—perfect for whipping up your breakfasts and lunches. You’re also more than welcome to join us for dinner when it works for both of us. We’ll have some cereal, freshly laid eggs, tea/coffee, and milk ready for you in the unit!
If you're up for it, I’d love to show you around Kerikeri and the beautiful surrounding areas.
A little about us: my husband works on a nearby dairy farm, and I’m currently studying for a Grad Diploma in Theology, diving into Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek. It would be awesome if you have any experience with Hebrew or Greek! I can also speak a little French, though I’m a bit rusty!
We keep chickens, and this year we have one beehive, along with a large vegetable garden, avocado trees, and plenty of fruit trees that I love to plant!
For everyone’s peace of mind, we kindly ask that all workawayers complete ID verification before their stay. While references are great, we understand that you might be new to this. If you don’t have any references yet, feel free to share a little more about yourself when you reach out. Thank you so much, and we’re excited to hear from you!
We look forward to meeting you! :-)

We're excited to share our journey towards being self-sufficient in fruits and vegetables! We invite our guests to join us in learning how to use garden tools, plant seedlings, and tackle any challenges that come our way. Our outdoor projects change with the seasons, so there's always something new to explore. Plus, we have 2 cheerful beehives and 8 lovely chickens! In the spring and summer, guests can get hands-on experience with beekeeping. We can't wait for you to be a part of it!

Hey there! I could really use a hand with emptying and repairing the shade-house. If you’re interested, this is a great opportunity to learn how to drive the ride-on mower, use the electric hedge trimmers, and try out the weed-eater if you haven't used them before.
There will also be some fun autumn tasks outside, like hedge trimming, pruning, and cutting back plants. Plus, there are a few indoor house tasks we can tackle together. Looking forward to having some fun working together!Idiomas hablados

You’ll be staying in a cozy cabin that’s separate from the main house, complete with heating and its own bathroom! Inside, you’ll find a small fridge and some handy cooking gadgets like a microwave, air fryer, bench top oven, and a hot plate. We’d love for you to prepare most of your own meals, but feel free to join us for dinner whenever it works for everyone! We’ll make sure to provide you with eggs, cereal, tea/coffee, and milk to get you started. Looking forward to having you!
