I am a marine biologist, single mother, living with my joyful 6 year old son and our dog in Cape Woolamai, Phillip Island, only 5 min from beautiful ocean beaches. We live in a quiet area very close to nature walks, surf, and fantastic wildlife, like penguins, seals, whales, koalas, wallabies, and more! We love meeting new people, so send me a message and hope to see you soon :)

Our place is in a beautiful natural area close to beaches, dunes and bushlands. There are so many activities that you could do including surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, camping, wildlife viewing (penguins, seals and whales!), and bushwalking. I am a marine biologist and nature lover, happy to offer lots of recommendations on places to experience wildlife in the area. I work on a wildlife tourism boat and can offer you to join a cruise to see the seals, dolphins and whales! (Whales only in winter June-Oct). I speak Dutch, Indonesian and Spanish.
Look forward to hearing from you!

Ayuda
I am looking for fun, easygoing, self-motivated workawayers to help with minding/playing with my son and general house maintenance. For example, playing on the beach with my son while I surf (and take turns with you!), and some general cleaning around the house, cooking meals and help maintaining the garden and vegetable plots. Sometimes I might need help with painting or fixing things around the house. Once or twice a month I might also ask your help with putting Wes to bed if I'm away for the night. You will need to pick Wes up from school on some afternoons (by bicycle or car) and take our lovely dog for a walk on the beach. The work hours are flexible, usually just a few hours in the afternoon, and sometimes full days if I'm working on the weekend. In total around 20 hrs per week. You'll have plenty of free time to enjoy the island lifestyle!

I love languages and have learnt new languages when I lived abroad. I would love to improve my Spanish and Indonesian, and keen to learn some basics in any other language!
Alojamiento
Private bedroom in our house, with a queensize bed. Shared bathroom with the family. I am happy to include all meals, and expect workawayers to help with food preparations, and take turns with cooking. We have a small vegetable garden and include organics veggies, fruit and herbs.

Algo más...
If you love the coast and the ocean, you will absolutely love Phillip island, you can go surfing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding... I have boards that you can borrow. I also have bicycles available, you can easily get around by bike here. I have a car, and can help taking you places further away. There is a regular bus service nearby too! Plenty of fantastic wildlife in the area, go see the cute penguins, watch koalas, wallabies, birds and so many more in their natural habitat! I spend lots of time outdoors with my son, and would love to host workawayers that are passionate about wildlife and nature too. We live in a quiet area, so you must be self motivated and eager to do things on your own and can easily make connections with people.
Island lifestyle is slower, but never boring with so much ocean & nature around!
