Descripción
I live with a siamese cat and work in construction in the San Francisco Bay Area. My family are away for a few months, so I need help in the garden and around the house. We live in a duplex in a little town called Crockett. It is situated across the bay from San Francisco with a fabulous view of the Carquinez bridge and Carquinez strait.
I need help with cleaning and organizing the house, Also gardening: weeding and cutting grass, and cleaning the patios.

Travelers can immerse themselves in this culture and locality. If they speak a foreign language, they can practice English with us and we can help them perfect their English. We also love spending time with our workawayers and treat them like family. We try to make you feel comfortable in our home during your stay. We like learning about other cultures and teaching you about ours (we are from Ireland originally). We usually try to eat together at dinnertime, if possible, and have some great conversations over meals. We like to do fun stuff with you and also allow you the time to explore the locality on your own if you wish. We take day trips whenever we can and you are welcome to join us and see some sights.

We need some help with the house (mostly cleaning, but a little cooking if you enjoy that), lots of organization and gardening/outdoor maintenance.

We are very central to all the famous sights in the bay area. We live close to San Francisco, where you can explore all the famous sights. It is only 1/2 an hour drive by car (without traffic), approximately one hour on public transport. The bus stop is very close to the house. We have excellent restaurants within walking distance. There are lots of hiking, walking, biking trails. There are parks within walking distance. Local swimming pool (open in summer time) is only a 10 min walk. Skiing in winter is a 2 1/2 hour drive to Lake Tahoe. Yosemite is only a 3 hour drive. Stinson Beach and Point Reyes along the coast are approximately 1 hour away. Napa Valley wine country and Calistoga are an hour drive away. Our capital Sacramento is less than an hour away. Take off in the other direction to spend time exploring Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Big Sur to name but a few of our wonderful sights. It takes just over an hour to get to famous Silicon Valley.

Staying with Marie´s family was amaizing experience as from the begining i felt like a member of family!!! The kids are super nice and fun. I felt really like at home all the time so we watched movie together or cook together.

John, Marie and the kids are a very nice family! I spent two very nice weeks with them. The are open-minded and they helped me when I needed. The work is pleasant and not too hard.
