House/cat sit in a peaceful country cottage in rural Galicia, Spain

  My small isolated cottage in rural Galicia needs looking after for three weeks (20th Feb to 12th March.This location would suit a nature lover, writer, artist or simply someone needing some peace and quiet! Your own transport is necessary as there is no public transport. The house is about 15 minutes drive from the coast - O ‘Barqueiro or 25minutes to Ortigueira town. There are many beautiful coastal walks, beaches and mountain hikes in this area. Wild horses, deer and boar are a common sight too.
  The house is small but cosy, with a log burning stove upstairs and underfloor heating downstairs. A modern bathroom with walk in shower and washing machine. It has been a total renovation job taking many years of hard work.
  
  This is not a ‘holiday let’. It is my home. I therefore need someone who is respectful of others possessions and property. I now have a young cat, very gentle and affectionate, who needs looking after.
  She sleeps most of the day and likes to be out all night, unless it’s very wet!
  I hope any person wishing to stay, is familiar with the workings of a wood burning stove, for both safety and practical reasons, It is a small living room with a cast iron stove, so only needs to burn at a low slow rate…..not roaring away! NB. You have to carry your wood in and up the circular staircase.

  This area is on the pilgrims route to Santiago de Compostela, in a very wild and beautiful part of Galicia.
  20minutes to surfing beaches.
  Stunning coastal hikes.
  Wonderful walks down to the Rio Sor riverside woodlands and Agua Caida and the gorge.
  For those interested there is a nearby self- sufficiency community being set up in a small valley hamlet.

  The cottage is suitable for a single person or a couple, no more. There is a small double bed in a bedroom off the upstairs living room (note - no door, only a curtain across) There is a second downstairs bedroom that is currently being re-floored, but may not be finished. Presently used mainly as a storage room.

  There are well known surfing beaches all around this coastline.
  The cities of Ferrol and A Coruna are about an hour away.

  I then use my phone as a hot spot for calls, Netflix, YouTube and all online activities. I prefer a non smoker please.
